The newest issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine hints that Rocksteady Games is working on (or planning to work on, or would like to work on) a sequel to awesome super-hero action game Batman: Arkham Asylum.
"I’m not really allowed to comment on that, but there are definitely lots of exciting stories to tell in Batman’s world," Sefton Hill, co-founder of Rocksteady Studios, said. "I can say that we’re really privileged to work on it, and excited about future possibilities."
Okay, that's hardly a scream of "We're totally working on Arkham Asylum 2!" but it's encouraging nonetheless. That game is so solid, I want Rocksteady to make every Batman game from now until the end of time.
What would you like to see in a follow-up to Arkham? Personally, I want an open-world Gotham City that's the same size as Liberty City in GTA 4, with the Batmobile and The Batwing as major modes of transportation. Either that, or a cell-shaded throwback to 1960s Batman. Where would you like to see the next Batman? A super-heroic RPG, maybe? How about Batman and Robin cart racing? Batman Babies (for the Wii, of course)? Give your own ideas in the comment section.

I worry about the idea of making it open world. I'd imagine it going down the road of SpiderMan or Incredible hulk...plus, I really don't think the graphics would stand up in an open world game. What I'd like to see? Kiya Asamiya's "Child of Dreams" storyline brough to life in videogame form. You've got villians in that we didnt see in Arkham Asylum, and it takes place in Japan!

I'm with you on the open world. Batman gliding in an open area, driving the Batmobile and Batwing. With this they can really instill The Dark Knight fear factor. Plus, I REALLY want to reenact the Dark Knight Hong Kong jump :) The controls were perfect. Just bring on the next AAA Batman game already Rocksteady!
