Trilogies remain a hot concept in video games, albeit one that's cooled in the wake of some first entries in proposed trilogies (read: Too Human) underperforming. Disney Epic Mickey wasn't announced as a three-game anthology, but designer Warren Spector told 1UP he's thinking about the second and third games already. But, he admits, that's how he always designs games.
"I don't do anything that isn't extensible," he said. "And I will certainly feel like that I have not done my job if we can't make other games in this world with these characters. In my head, I've got two more planned. In the business world of reality, those games have not approved, and who knows if we'll ever see them. I had three games planned for Deus Ex, and you see where that got me."
Spector was involved in the second, less favorably received Deus Ex 2: Invisible War, while Eidos Montreal is currently moving forward with Deus Ex 3, said to be a prequel.
Epic Mickey is a Wii exclusive, but Spector's said Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions were in development.

I'm not surpise to see that Xbox 360 and PS3 versions were in development. If Epic Mickey doesn't do well on Wii, they may try for Xbox 360 and PS3. But I doubt, I'm sure Epic Micky will sell pretty good on Wii.

This game could pu Wii over the top once again. If its as big a game as it looks like its going to be and with the Wii price drop the wii could become the next vcr or dvd player. Everyone will own one even if it rarely gets used. No other gaming system ever created could say that. and the wii has that potential.

Wow the maturity level on this broad makes me think it populated by 12yr olds.
How can some people really call this an epic fail when the game has'nt really come out yet.I've really grown sick and tried of people hating on a title just because it can't make Halo 3 sale in a day.Long term sales matters a hell of alot more than short lived rediculous sale of a week any day.All Warren Spectors doing is planing some thoughts in his head for what he can possiable do with the sequels. This will sell based on Mickey alone.Lets not forget the Wii's install base is heavly populated by famlies and that will grab parents attention more than some gun touting foul mouthed space marines anyday.

Thats a good thing every game designer should have a game with a sequel thought out jus in case the game sells good, it prevents the sequel storyline from sounding like it came from nowhere now whether the game is good or bad is up to the fan base but he get a thumbs up for putting effort towards the game

It makes sense to release on the Wii first. It is a console aimed at younger kids and family friendly ideas. How many 360 or PS3 owners would put this on their list? not many I would think.

Why do we fill the internet with the same "sequels before actual first game comes out" info?
I rather not had comment here but I had to warm up my typing..... sooooo.......

Oh god I had no idea Too Human is a trilogy... What's next? Uwe Boll makes a third Bloodrayne? Oh wait, he is. I hate trilogies.

This game has to prove itself first. I admire the fact that its wii exclusive but there has to be more than formula to make a good successful game. It has been hard to predict what will be a hit on the wii. I hope this will be a good game but frankly I still see the potential for it to become a fail.

Wii exclusive? fail... there was only a small chance I would pick up this game but now there's no chance at all...

Whoops seems i may have misinterpreted the last line. I guess thats referencing how the 360 and ps3 verisons were dropped. I got excited and thought they are still being developed.

Cool, I bet the game is gonna look awesome on the 360 and ps3
