What kind of game is it?
The sixth installment of a 3D fighting game series. Unlike its cousin Soulcalibur, Tekken is based on martial arts and hand-to-hand combat instead of weapons.
Who's the developer?
Tekken games are developed by an internal Namco team, of which information is not readily available. The series itself began in 1994 with the arcade release of Tekken, which subsequently appeared on the PlayStation the following year and was established as a top-tier fighting series, and chief competition to Sega's 3D brawler Virtua Fighter.
Multiplayer/Online?
Tekken 6 is playable online over both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. One-on-one matches are active now, but the co-operative online mode for the "Force" campaign will be patched into the game at a later date.
What'd we say?
Tekken 6 was reviewed by Daniel Boutros, who gave it a score of 3/5:
"The 40-strong roster should satisfy die-hard fans, though your satisfaction depends on whether you want to playing a largely unchanged game since Tekken 3. Based on our experience with our reviewable discs, online matches are horribly laggy and single player value is thin, since Force Mode is little more than a mediocre design experiment."

The mechanics to it look like an early Ps2 game... That SHOULDN'T happen! It looks terrible in my opinion. The Bouncer looks better than it... and that's an early Ps2 game lol.

Sorry about that. Video review should be ready shortly, we'll swap it back in when it is.

If you're not an avid player ( meaning you haven't logged too much time in Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection ) online then I can see why Tekken may not tip your trigger. I, myself, LOVE Tekken 6. I've been playing it since Friday non stop and honestly I'm fairly impressed with it, it just takes some adjustments from its predecessor but still a great game. Just the online gameplay needs to be tweaked a bit is all.

it got a 8.8 out of 10 on ign.com so I'm going to buy it along with Dj Hero : D

The video review doesn't seem to be working, but that's okay because I already read the review. I'm still going to pick this up, along with Uncharted 2. I plan to take advantage of the Tekken 6 space recently opened in PS Home, and with all the friends I've got who are buying it, I think the experience will be a lot more enjoyable than what Daniel Boutros had on Xbox Live.
