Good news for all those gamers eagerly awaiting BioWare's Dragon Age: Origins: the first chapter of EA 2D's epic Flash game, Dragon Age: Journeys, is now playable online. The tactical RPG is one of the more impressive browser-based games to come along in a while, and features an Internet-sized dungeon's worth of content and features that should hold you over quite nicely until Origins is released next month.
Best of all, if you sign up using your EA account, and you complete certain objectives, you will unlock three unique items that you will then be able to use in Origins (regardless of platform). Hopefully, those items will actually be of some use to you, and not just a comb or shoe shine kit (I have old timey tastes. What can I say?)
Anyway, to start your no doubt grueling and brutal adventure, head over to the Dragon Age: Journeys site, and start crawling you some dungeons!
How far into the game are you? What do you think of it so far?

REally enjoying it so far--it's simple and of course the gameplay in Origins will be different, but it's introducing a few story concepts and basic stat & magic mechanics that will be good to have internalized by the time the big game comes out.
Plus, free stuff. Though I can't imagine anyone getting the helm. Why would you play through this three times? I'm only 5 hours in and maybe halfway though...while it's fun to play I'm certainly not going to do it again and again.

acualy think regardless if its good or bad (havent tried it out yet) its a great "new" exiting way of promote a upcomming game. Ofcourse il try it out!

If I can unlock items in the retail game by completing objectives in the flash game then by the beard of zeus, I'm gonna do it:D!

I'm about 2/5 of the way through the game, and I have to say it's very... simple. It's only purpose I think will be to hold be over until Dragon Age Origins comes out. Oh and the unlockable items seem kinda weak to me. Two of the three items increase your resistances by 5% and only the last item (a helm with some attribute buffs) looks remotely useful.
