SPOILERS AHEAD!!!...kind of.
The British Board of Film Classification recently gave Rockstar Games' upcoming Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City a rating of 18, which just means no one under 18 years of age can purchase it. In the official classification (which actually includes the phrase “Spoiler Alert,” which I found amusing), the BBFC points out that the game includes very strong language, violence, hard drug use, and, what a shock, strong sex.
The BBFC describes the “strong sex” in great detail in its official classification, but to spare your fragile sensibilities, I’ve made a few changes to the ratings board’s descriptions. A number of the descriptions are for both The Lost & Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, but the following description concerns content found in Gay Tony:
“In cut scenes the Luis Lopez character is seen to be on the XXXX end of XXXX (slumped on a XXXX with a XXXX buried in his XXXX). The same character engages in XXXX on at least two XXXX XXXX. For example he stands between a woman's XXXX and XXXX XXXX her and he also XXXX a woman over a XXXX and XXXX into XXXX from the XXXX.”
Scandalous! The description also mentions full frontal male nudity, but that is most likely in reference to Congressman Thomas Stubbs’ full monty shot in Lost & Damned. Then again, the upcoming episode does star “Gay” Tony Prince, so it certainly wouldn’t be out of place in the new episode, but we'll just have to wait and see about that one.
It might not be Hot Coffee 2.0, (after all, there isn't even nudity), but Rockstar is definitely looking to stir things up with Ballad of Gay Tony. And based on everything we’ve heard and seen of the game so far, the envelope-burning developer is going to do just that.
You can find the unabridged (perhaps NSFW) BBFC descriptions right here.
