What do you think of the track lists? What, if anything, do you think Band Hero brings to the table that other music games don't?

WTF? I thought this was a joke at first. I wasn't going to jump on the Activision-is-destroying-music -games bandwagon, in fact I was going to try and stay as far from it as possible but now I have no choice. May Activision and all of its glorious greed be struck down by the gods of music. I will be speechless if I find out anyone I know actually buys this garbage. Note to Activision: You can't just take the same exact game and call it something different to try and make some extra sales. If you had gone the more legit way and called it, Guitar Hero: Family Edition or something like that, I wouldn't have been able to complain as much. But in all seriousness, the new Guitar Hero just came out. IT JUST CAME OUT! You guys do know that DLC exists right? Hell even if you just made a track pack on disc like Rock Band does from time to time at half the cost, I could see it being done but this is just sad. An obvious lunge towards unsuspecting consumers wallets. How shameful. God I hope COD gets bought by another publisher, because if that happened I could happily say, "Go screw yourself," as I would no longer be playing games from that company. Ugh.

I'm holding out for the Middle Eastern version, presumably named "Qatar Hero." The chance to play an oud? Can't wait!!

BAND HERO=SUPER MEGA UBER EPIC FAIL.
So did activisions last meeting go something like, "hey let's make a game that obviously shows we're selling out all of our original fans by using songs everyone knows and have heard plenty of times so at least when we make our next game or more DLC they'll be totally ready to kick aside these terrible tunes."
ACTIVISION=EPIC FAIL
hybrid_theory
ugh theres like four songs i want. now im gonna end up probably picking up this in addition to getting lego rock band to import those songs into rb2. maybe sell that one off to a friend of mine if he wants it.

Fall Out Boy=EPIC FAIL

Wow Band Hero has a better soundtrack than Guitar Hero 5. Thats funny.
I would rather get Lego Rock Band where I can transfer my songs over and continue to grow my massive library :)
CALiiGeDDon
this game is just like guitar hero but with kids more in mind. i know some people who like this style of music but i prefer to play rock band 2 with all of my songs :P
lycan137
@ sterling, you are correct.
but really, this playlist makes me want to gag. I feel sorry for the masses who buy this game and dull their music senses. I think I saw a total of five ish good songs total on that list
G4Sterling
For those wondering why this (and Lego Rock Band) exist, there's a simple answer:
They're family games. They're not made for those of us who want to rock (and be saluted).
Socalmic47
Explain it to me. Isn't this just Guitar Hero 6? It has the same features of GH5 and GHWT with an equally weak playlist. Why is this suppose to be so special that Activision thinks gamers should $60 for it?
badgarok725
i don't get the point of this game when Guitar Hero V just came out. Is there anything new in this game?
SpillTheBlood
Why don't they do a full-on, metal-only game? Like Guitar Hero: Metallica metal with less Metallica. I want a game loaded with good songs by Behemoth, Lamb of God, Carcass, Machine Head, Alice in Chains, Amon Amarth...stuff like that. They put out a game full of pop-rock and junk, so why can't the appease the metal community with a game oriented towards good metal and bands?
SmarterThanYou
Way to try to be something you're not, Band Hero (aka Huitar Hero with drums). I'll stick with Rock Band.
LarcenousLaugh
So it's a POP Guitar Hero/Rock Band. Interesting.
BONERJAM
Thats a pretty weak list, there is maybe 3 songs on there I like and haven't already been used in another game.
How does BAND Hero make any sense? Doesn't hero refer to one person not more than one? A band is a group of people, right? I fail to see how you could have a BAND Hero unless its refering to just one person in that band. Name Fail!
saxybeast418
Why does Band Hero get American Pie???
Lalo666
BAND HERO SUCKS!!!!
MrKrinklez
Personally I doubt this game will be nearly as entertaining as any other Rock Band/GH game.
mengplex
I recognise more rock songs in band hero than i do in Guitar hero 5 or World Tour.
(also. Papa Roach - Lifeline?! YAAASSSSS)
