It's been a while since Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were released, so what exactly is Final Fantasy creator and Mistwalker founder Hironobu Sakaguchi up to? Message board NeoGAF has been keeping an eye on Sakaguchi's blog at the Mistwalker website, where Sakaguchi has hinted at a new project in the "finishing stages."

There have been rumors of Blue Dragon 2 for some time. Or maybe it's something new?

Blue Dragon 2, lost oddyssey. Yeah, maybe they can make blue2 look a little more kiddy like, and mabay they can put lost2 on 6 disc. Or is that all the graphics and storage space they have for the 360?????

Anyone who has followed Mistwalker at all knows Blue Dragon 2 is already coming and will probably be a series. As for what this new game is, I do hope it's something a little more adventurous first.

I did like Blue Dragon. It had a very good storyline and the actual game play was nice, but I do agree that the story ended and Blue Dragon should not be brought back in any fashion.
