Starting on Nov. 5, Halo fans will be able to access the new Halo Waypoint portal on Xbox Live. The 343 Industries developed hub for all things Halo will contain everything from news to videos to community content to interviews, and will be updated with new content every day. At launch, there will be two sections, Intel and Career, which I guess means more sections are planned, and will be rolled out sometime down the line.
Intel will contain all of the info and media-type content, while Career will house all of your achievements and track your overall progress in Halo 3, Halo Wars and Halo 3: ODST. This info will then be used to determine Career Milestones and Waypoint Awards, which are obtained by hitting certain gamer score levels or unlocking particular groups of achievements across the various Halo games. Xbox Live Silver members will be able to check out Halo Waypoint until Nov. 26 before it becomes exclusively available for Xbox Live Gold members.
The site/channel/page/whatever you want to call it looks pretty slick, and judging from the amount of content it's likely to contain, if you love, love, love Halo, you’ll probably be eating it up on a regular basis. Are you one of these people? Anything particularly intriguing to you about Halo Waypoint (content, design, features, etc.)?
