On the left? Mass Effect 2's pre-order inferno armor. On the right? Well, Iron Man.

i don't think this is necessarily a case of copying or mad props nods so much as the fact that high function body armor usually boils down to a pretty obvious and hard to deviate from look, (we can't just bend our knees backward or ignore the basics of weight distribution) the color is pretty close but let's face it red and gold go together. and if they'd chosen blue and silver he'd just look like War Machine but with less guns.

i say focus on the differences, like how Tony Stark rocks full on block paneling whereas the Effect armor is really skeletal and segmented. there's enough difference here.

I guess it boils down to either getting the armor/heavy weapon from Gamestop or justarmor from EA's store. I wish there was a way to get both of them. I even want the Blood Armor from Dragon Age, but i don't want to pre-order the game just to get it. I was planning on getting the game down the line.

I guess Gamestop is the way to go. 2 is better than 1.

I really like how Bioware, a video game company, is making all these nods to different franchises, as far as star wars to iron man, shown above.

LOL I was thinking the same thing when I saw the armor unveiled. Now all the armor needs is some palm laser cannons and we're good to go.

Its obviously not a coincidence. I'm sure its Biowares little nod to Iron Man. I doubt any of the creative people that are making ME2 made this Armour without realizing it looked like Iron Man. It was on purpose.

Wow, I didn't realise game journalism was this easy. Sign me up for a job G4. I guarantee I can find better stories than this non-story.

I honestly think it looks more like the Halo armor than Iron Man's.
