It's time once again for our weekly round-up of music game downloadable content. This has been a big week for metal heads, thanks to the release of Double Fine's Brutal Legend, and to keep that rock-mentum going, Rock Band players can now get their hands on a number of tracks from Kansas, Joe Satriani and Blink-182. There's also the Brutal Legend Track Pack, which features songs from Motorhead, Tenacious D and Testament, each of which appears on the game's killer soundtrack. Wolfmother-loving Guitar Hero 5 fans are in for a treat this week thanks to a three-song track pack from the band, while Pearl Jam and Foreigner go mobile in Rock Band Unplugged. Badly Drawn Boy, The Stone Roses and Rednex hit SingStar, and Lips players can belt out a few tunes from Erasure, Jason Mraz and Mark Morrison. Tune in next week for -- oh, I don't know -- Beatles and Queen DLC!

Yep, Rockband should really limit the number of band based games to prevent itself from becoming the next Guitar Hero. DLC is the way to go. GH3 was the best and did have the best content to offer, but World Tour and Gh5 are really a letdown when it comes to song playlists. The avatar thing is cool though.
