We’re just under a month away from the release of Valve’s zombie-slaying sequel Left 4 Dead 2, and anticipation is ramping up. So to make sure that gamers don’t spontaneously combust from overexcitement, Valve has decided to release a demo for the game prior to launch for both the PC and Xbox 360 (None of that post-launch demo crap here, buddy).
The Parish campaign-based demo will be available starting Oct. 27 for those people who pre-order the game from Steam or participating retailers. Xbox Live Gold member and PC players will be able to download the demo on Nov. 3, before the demo is then made available to all Xbox Live members on Nov. 10.
The demo will include all the game's new boss infected zombies as well as all the new melee weapons that you can’t wait to get your hands on, including chainsaws, baseball bats and frying pans. I’ve always said the best way to test out new cookware is to see how well it bashes in a zombie’s face. Thank you Valve for agreeing with me.
