Judging from the newly released details about the updated multiplayer modes in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, Rockstar Games is looking to make the final downloadable installment in the GTA IV saga as over-the-top and spectacular as possible. So far, Rockstar has only revealed info about Deathmatch and Free Mode, but according to the Ballad of Gay Tony site, information on Race and GTA Race modes will be along shortly.
So for Deathmatch, the new additions are as follows:
- Weapons - Pistol .44, Explosive Shotgun, Assault SMG, Gold SMG, Advanced MG, Advanced Sniper, Sticky Bombs and Parachute.
- Cash for Kills - Make $25 for every assisted kill.
- Locations - Deathmatch locations are contained areas, making for an even more intense experience. New locations include: CC Plaza, Meadow Hills, Firefly Island, Alderney Building Site, Varsity Heights, Factory, Construction, Acter Power Station, Pier 45, Castle Gardens Park, Boat House, Easton Subway, Warehouse, Hospital, Waste, Trespass, Museum and more.
- Weapon Classes - Episodic, Automatic, Sniper Rifles, Explosives, Sticky Bombs.
For Free Mode, it’s still the all out urban chaos-fest fans have come to know and love, only thanks to the addition of new weapons, new vehicles (Buzzard attack helicopter and the N.O.O.S.E. APC) and parachutes, you can expect the metropolitan mayhem to reach ridiculous new heights (oftentimes literally).

Definitely a must buy for any fan of GTA IV... I have LAD on my hard drive, but for this last installment, I'm getting the disc set. I can't leave to chance that my live account info gets knackered and my DLC doesn't work. I gotta get it!

you act like rockstar comes on this website and reads your comment they don't care about what your talking about they will make millions off of this game being only for the xbox 360 and in case you haven't noticed Most 3rd party games sale 2X as much as its ps3 counterpart just take Modern warfare 2 as an example
according to vgchartz 360 version of the game has 2 million pre orders while the ps3 version has only like 200,000-300,000 pre orders thats a big difference no wonder activision prefers 360 to ps3

RockStar is a genius company when it comes to there GTA series, but honestly only give "Hot and the Damned", and " The Ballad of Gay Tony"?!?!? All this is doing is making PC, and PS3 software purchasers get extremely pissed off, because we payed the same price for the game as did the 360 folds back at release. Also they are losing Millions, if not Billions of Dollars of Money on not allowing these two platforms to participate. So Rockstar Pull your head out of your Ass's and Wake Up!!!! P.S. BTW: Love the GTA Series, and hope they get better and better over time.
