It pains me to write such a headline. What gaming gods (also known as marketing execs) decided that releasing Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on the same day was a good idea? These games aren't competing against one another because of genre overlap, but because they're both two very good games that happen to cost $60 in an environment where people are picky about their money. Which one did you choose? Or were you one of the lucky ones who picked up both?

i chose brutal legend, i tried the demo on my 360 and just knew i had to have it, finished it already (atleast the story line... still at 66%) and i loved every minute of it. its really original and has a great sound track.

uncharted 2 of course, im nabbing brutal legend from gamefly though. I would have gotten both but with money tight right? im sure ill pick up brutal legend eventually though

I got both but I have'nt played uncharted yet. Brutal Legend is getting more recognition as it is a great tribute to the heavy metal culture and not to mention a cool story that's worthy of a pixar movie.

Just finished Uncharted, and it was excellent from beginning to end. My play time clocked in at just under 12 hours, so it's potentially longer than some reviewers have clocked the Brutal Legend story, but I think a lot of people will finish Uncharted 2 faster than me, as my stats admittedly revealed almost an hour and a half standing still...I spent a lot of time admiring the scenery and typically walked rather than ran through the temple areas when there was no combat. I agree with Infinite Lives that there were a couple parts that seemed added just to lengthen the campaign (1 or 2 too many waves during a firefight, *SPOILER* having to climb up the train wreck a 2nd time after the flashback chapters are finished, etc), but that doesn't detract from the experience. Uncharted 2 is GOTY for me right now, but that won't keep me from enjoying Brutal Legend...I'll probably start it later tonight.

The Brutal Legend demo was pretty fun and I really like the universe they created, but to even ask the question is an insult to Uncharted. If you have a PS3, you must buy Uncharted. It is a great game that is SO POLISHED. I'm about half way through the campaign and loving it. The co-op multiplayer is great and the normal multiplayer is awesome also. There isn't much innovation to it, but it plays so smooth. And the graphics are so amazing. I love Gears 2, but I gotta give the graphics award to Uncharted. I will probably rent Brutal Legend or buy it when it hits $30.

Tenacious D and Dethclok is not metal yet they have it in the game. Jack Black is not funny yet he continues to try to do comedy.

From all the buzz Uncharted 2 is getting, I'd probably get it...if I hadn't sold my PS3 4 months ago. Maybe in the Spring, when the new MLB comes out, I'll buy a slim, The Show and this game as well.
Bought Brutal Legend and I personally think it deserved a 5/5. I don't see vehicle control as a problem and I don't play multiplayer anyway, so those complaints aren't an issue for me. Plus, I've been a metal head since the early 80's.
Oh and I loved the slam on Linkin Park in the review. Teeny-bopper metal is NOT metal!

Both, but I've only played Uncharted 2 so far. Brutal Legend seems like it could eat up a good chunk of my time from just wandering around, so I'm saving it for the weekend.
The holiday buying season's started guys. Where have you been finding the time to do all this posting??? Not that reading a bunch of posts and articles on the Feed isn't fun, but what do you guys like more? Playing games or talking about them?

I picked up Uncharted 2. I didn't play the Brutal Legend demo until about a week ago. As excellent as the demo was, I was already EXTREMELY hyped for Drakes' second outting. I'll have to have ye 'ol St. Nick pop BL in the stocking this year.
