Brutal Legend Review

Tim Schafer's epic masterpiece, featuring the talents of such legends as Jack Black and Ozzy Osbourne, is finally ready for public consumption. Brutal Legend hits stores today and our own Jake Gaskill has the review:

"Brutal Legend, developer Double Fine’s heavy-metal opus, transports players into its mytho-rock-ical universe with screaming, fiery abandon. Seriously, if you ever wanted to know what it would be like to live inside heavy-metal album covers, creative director/designer Tim Schafer’s vision is as close as you’ll ever get. And even though metal fans will obviously glean added satisfaction from the game’s design, settings and references, the world itself is designed with such care and devotion that non-metal heads should find plenty to unleash a tasty riff about should they embark on this brutal and fantastic legend. It’s got its issues, but overall, Brutal Legend is a hell of a lot of fun."

Repetitive, weak dialogue, Jack Black is not funny, no Metallica in a Metal game all equals EPIC FAIL.

Go play a real game, the future GOTY Uncharted 2

Fun game. I told myself that I would not buy another game till COD. But I had to get this on release day for Tim Schafer. No regrets here.

Picked this up yesterday - very cool. Jack Black makes a great protagonist and the world is just too cool for words. This must of been a blast to work on.

Fantastic game. It's too bad more companies don't take a lesson from games like this and start making better content. *sigh*

I tried the demo and i love the option to censor for the people who might have kids around or people who want the full }Beep{ experience. Great puzzles also (i had trouble with the worm before i used the subtitles) and have great jokes. Brutal Legend Rocks

I've been waiting about 3-4 years for this game, and it's finally here ^_^ can't wait to play it (just have to wait a few more days for UPS to arrive with it)

This game is by far an Epic Win

the demo was alot better then i thought it would b good game even tho i dont like heavy metal reminds me of Jak n Dexter n that 2 thumbs up 2 me
