Torchlight Interview Discussing Diablo III, Possible iPhone Version, The MMO

Do you like Diablo? Are you tired of waiting for Diablo III? Would you like to play something from the folks who worked on Diablo and Diablo II…without waiting for Diablo III? Torchlight may be your answer. Runic Games, formerly the Seattle satellite studio of Hellgate: London developer Flagship Studios, has been working on Torchlight ever since Flagship went under and in just a few short weeks, Torchlight goes live. I recently spent quality time on the phone interviewing Runic Games CEO Max Schaefer to discuss the studio's formation, the drive behind Torchlight, the Diablo III comparisons (which he's not afraid of) and why they're making Torchlight into an MMO, too.

Been playing for several months and LOVE IT! Still can't wait for D3 to arrive, hope I can run it. In the meantime, GO GET THIS GAME! The PC version and the MMO will be completely different gameplay.

OMFG I am so psyched about this game. I was in the Mythos beta and it was a lot of fun, I was sad when Flagship shut their doors. I knew Runic was working on something but I had no idea it would be ready so soon! I can only hope the MMO version is quick on its heels!
