Jak and Daxter

Sony has announced that PS2 and PSP platformer Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier will be hitting store shelves on November 3rd.

Developed by High Impact Games (not original J&D developer Naughty Dog), The Lost Frontier promises to combine platforming gameplay with vehicles and aircraft -- there are five kinds of flying machines to try out in the game. Add new weapons (including the "gunstaff," a weapon that transforms into other weapons) to the mix and you might end up with something interesting when November rolls around.

I understand that PlayStation 2 games still sell really well (somehow!), but wouldn't a PlayStation 3 version of this have been awesome? I'd actually like to play it, but I'm not going to go to the hassle of taking my PS2 out of its closet and hooking it up. I guess I'm just lazy.

Now they make a J&D game, but y for ps3.
You Know what they need to do, they should make all J&D games that was for the ps2 and make it for the ps3.
    i would buy the game.

Naughty Dog is favorite game developer, they make the most awesome games. Unfortunately when they move on to something new they don't go back to there old series. First, there was Crash Bandicoot, then there was J and D and now there is Uncharted. So, as much I would like to see a PS3 J and D, I doubt it will happen.

I'll still be sure to pick up this game for either ps2 to be used on my backwards compatible PS3 or for PSP if I've bought my GO by the release date.

Sony has a huge library of games they can chose to remake or just revisit.. I could get this for my 60gig or psp but won't...naughty dog has to make it to ensure that it's perfect

I'm sure Naughty will make a sequal of it on the ps3. But right now they are just way too busy with uncharted2. The first one was a big hit.....Hopefully Uncharted makes enough for them to get more guys to there team. I think Naughty can only handle one epic game at a time. I'm glade that they pick Uncharted :)

Never liked Jak & Daxter. I'm ok with not having a PS3 version. Better to have Naughty Dog working on more games as epic as Uncharted.

The main purpose of this game is to have another great PSP title on the market like MotorStorm: Arctic Edge. Jak & Daxter is a fan favorite series and I'm sure it not being ont he PS3 won't be devastating because people will get to enjoy it on the go with their PSP. Anyway a new Jak & Daxter game will be a great addtion to store shelves and to the PSP and PS2.

i think naughty dog needs to make a follow up to jak3 because there is so much more to do the way they ended the story. I thought jak was a big seller for ps2 and naughty dog but apprently no one cares about it anymore.

A ps3 version would be great, but sony doesn't really care what the people want
