Welcome to Morning Hangover -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from our editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world. So buckle up, throw a Pokeball at the new week, and keep reading!

No Mandatory Installation For Uncharted 2

Andrew Pfister: Even though it's going to sound like it, this isn't me complaining about having free time on weekends. Honest. The issue I repeatedly face every seven days is what to do with my two days off. Gaming is obviously in the mix, because contrary to what you might think our day-to-day routine is, us editor types don't get to play much at work. (Poor us, I know.) So it's deciding whether or not to play something new, or to catch up on my backlog. Am I going to marathon it, or sample a bunch of different games I need to play? And what about football, apartment cleaning, extra-curricular activities...we really need to move to a four-day work week.

How do you decide your weekend plan?

Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition Includes Motion Controls And New Story Chapter

Patrick Klepek: It'll be hard to understand what this means until you have your hands on Uncharted 2 this week, but keep this in mind when you start playing. What about Uncharted 2 reminds you of Resident Evil 5? If (like me) you didn't care for Resident Evil 5 -- but you tried, oh you tried! -- what parts of Uncharted 2 made you think "man, I wish this is what Resident Evil 5 had been like."

TheFeed gang wants your thoughts on gaming, tech, how far behind America is with snacks, and more. Let everyone know what you're thinking and chat it up with your fellow readers. Leave comments on anything and everything that's on your (gaming/tech/nerd) mind!

Yes, RE5 should have been like Uncharted. I really hated the stupid fixed camera and awful targeting system, not only that your AI partner is terribly stupid. Given that the first Uncharted has sloppy targeting system but at least you don't have a dumb partner that shoots you at the back. Sheva won't be able to hold a candle to Elena Fisher or Sully when it comes to "support".

The buzz on Demon's Souls is deafening. I don't know if I'll have time for it this year, but I definitely want to give it an honest shot at some point.

Well, I personally loved RE5, but it's all a matter of personal taste. Gaming wise, I revisited Dead Rising for the first time in a year or two this weekend. Was a fun trip down memory lane. Though playing through it again after such games as Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, and such made it's problems stand out a lot more. REALLY looking forward to the sequel as it is looking like it's going to improve on all the problems of the first game. The multiplayer looks all kinds of awesome as well.

My Colts are now 5-0. Who really thinks it's a good idea to try matching field goals up against Peyton Manning? Seriously? And our defense seems to be improving every week. Once we get Sanders back, that defense is gonna be a brick wall. We got our bye next week, so the NFL can breath easy. I'm really looking forward to week 8 though, when we get to rip Brady, Bellicheck and company a new one.

I just wish I could use all my unlockables [slow-mo, weapon select] on my first playthrough of crushing.

I wouldn't have tackled Veteran and Pro mode on RE5 without an upgraded magnum with infinite ammo and the "infinite launcher".

But RE4 > RE5. Always. I couldn't help but compare the two and notice we were going through the same script only we're in daylight this time and it ends with nightfall approaching where as RE4 was entirely in one night and ended with sunrise.

The answer to getting around to all the games you need to get to with your limited free time is simple: Cut back on sleep! =P

Fall-Winter season is a hard one for my sleeping schedule.

Was never a fan of the control scheme of RE5. I tried it, didn't like it, but I can understand how others loved it. Just wasn't the game for me. If it were more free flowing, less blocky, and was NOT a co-op game (seriously, the fun of the original RE's was that it was you alone against a zombie horde. Bah.) I'd have loved it. Alas...this wasn't to be.

The weekend was spent at a party in Maine, with sleeping and football on Sunday. Studying and babysitting my 5 year old godson now...I read/work while he plays Lego Batman on my PS3. Love it.

I know this weekend will be Uncharted 2 and Demon Souls. That game is hard but man is it awesome.

Speaking of awesome my beloved Yankees are in the second round for the first time since.....2004. As much as I love my team though the Angels own us plain and simple. That is the only team in all of baseball that has a winning record against us since 1996.

Also as for my Giants, thank you Oakland for not showing up. I really wanted to watch that game but after the first scoring drive it was plain to see that the Raiders were not interested in playing. Hamburcus Russel is on the level of Ryan Leaf in terms of all time busts. 28-0 and they don't throw the ball. Man they play the Saints this weekend, at least that game will be good win or lose.

    Question.
Are any of you Raider fans willing to switch teams now? I know that when Al Davis kicks the bucket the team will be much better but he doesn't look like he's going away any time soon.

Weekends are almost more hectic than my weekdays. Between working on my new portfolio site (new digitalphoenixx.com coming very soon), trying to relax, watching the Eagles, watching the Phillies, catching up on my backlog of TV on DVD (Criminal Minds ftw!) and managing game time between my huge backlog of PS3 games, Champions Online, Warcraft 3 - I really don't have much time to spare.

What I've done to help this is work on my website after work while I watch Criminal Minds. About to start Season 4 now if anyone is interested. Managing game time is still giving me trouble though. I have so many great games I want to play.

Andrew, if you're this concerned about your free time then I suggest you only focus on your main priorities. Football and games.

I really enjoyed Resident Evil 5. I thought it was awesome.

I actually liked RE5, it just wasn't as good as RE4. And I don't own a PS3, but from what I've seen Uncharted 2 looks freaking awesome.

My weekends are tough this time of year. Sunday is dedicated to football and it's difficult to find time to game with a live in girlfriend. This weekend I played a little GTA4, ODST, Uncharted and I got my girl to give Bioshock a shot. after about 30 minutes she was about to crap herself. If she's this afraid of Bioshock I don't know how I'm going to get her to a haunted house this year

i tried re5 and what wouldve made re5 better is the control scheme, intelligent AI (enemy NPC's and Sheva), much longer single player, not charging you extra money for something already on disk, and an active cover system. If i look jaded i am, i had such high hopes for this game and it crushed them all.
