Welcome to Morning Hangover -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from our editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world. So buckle up, throw a Pokeball at the new week, and keep reading!

Andrew Pfister: I was a Twitter holdout for the longest time -- thought it was stupid, self-promoting nonsense that reveals way too much about my personal life to (mostly friendly) people who, for some reason, care. I still believe all of these things, except now for some reason I love it. Unless it gets into my games. A good friend and former co-worker booted up his review copy of Uncharted 2 last week and forgot to turn off the game's automatic Twitter updates. Within 10 minutes our Venn diagram of friends "politely" alerted him to the fact that his starting of a multiplayer game didn't really rate on the importance scale. At least not compared to what I was contemplating for lunch. Regardless, when I got my early copy last Friday the first thing I did was ensure that the Twittering was turned off, lest I be shamed in the court of short-term public opinion.
In 140 characters or less, "Stay out of my games, Twitter."

Patrick Klepek: Bungie did a fantastic job with Halo 3 ODST. The game's unique vibe really sucked me in. That's for another post, though (look for it later today). What drove me nuts towards the end -- and this isn't a spoiler -- was the reemergence of Bungie's cookie-cutter level design. It's happened before. In order to artificially inflate the length of a level, Bungie will quite literally copy and paste a section of a level over and over again with little variation in look, design or combat layout. It happens in the last two areas of the game to a frustrating degree. Halo 3 ODST's combat is refreshing for the series, but no reinvention can stand up over such repetition. It was a seriously odd decision, too, given the rest of the game's hub-based levels are consistently short -- but in a good way.

Man, I leave for school for a couple months and R-Pad gets the boot? It's a shame, not that he was the only writer I liked on this site, but definitely the one that stood out the most. He knew his stuff, and there was not a doubt by any of his readers that he cared both about his passion for video games and the site as much as any of us. Although I'm a bit late to the party and he may never read this, I want R-Pad to know that this place will be a little less awesome without him, and I wish him good luck on all future endeavors. I read the morning hangover soley to see what he had to say. This place will never be the same

Dear G4,
On behalf of myself and fellow Feed readers, I would like to ask that Raymond Padilla be given chance to write a final farewell article. A chance for him to properly and professionally express any passing thoughts as he leaves this community and moves on to further endeavors. Many of the people that support this site have found immense enjoyment in following it because of writers like Raymond. His wit, intelligence and ability to connect with us on a personal level are what makes our thoughts and comments feel warranted and appreciated. Allowing us to interact with him in a formal article will serve as a proper route of showing our support; instead of using other articles that hold no relevance to the subject to voice our thoughts and warm wishes. Thank you for your consideration.

I know I am late to the party and all, however Raymond Padilla, I wish you the best of luck. This site will never be the same. No offense to all the other guys, but Bleahy and Padilla were and are the best. They actually socialized, not on a limited scale either. Many of us "Feeders" grew to know them not only as journalists, but as humans, which is difficult to do on this site where many simply write the article, post it, and stick a fork in it their job is done.
Raymond, I am sad to see you go. You and Bleahy are by far my favorite journalists. I hope you only see this post and realize just how much you meant to all of us, as a journalist, gamer, and friend. We could count on you to keep things civil, or at least attempt too. You will truly be missed.

Damn. No more R-Pad? I'll still read The Feed, but it won't be the same. No other writer bothered to interact with us as often and as well as R-Pad did. I'm sure R-Pad will land on his feet, considering the quality work he always did. G4TV.com just got a little weaker, though.

I liked that he was involed with the posts but I didn't like that he bashed people just cause they didn't have the same view as him. Whatever he wrote some very good stories if it was relating to FF or something like that. Good luck Raymond.
Also I haven't been online in a while why is Raymond leaving?

Wow. Just logged in to read the feed for the day. Raymond, I've always respected you and whatever you had to say when you posted. I wish you the best man.

I do not get why apparently everyone now hates Twitter. Most of the people on TV and internet are suckers for Twitter. Everyone is just giving the politically correct response. The egomaniacs who use Twitter of course want everyone to know about their exploits in Uncharted 2.
P.S. I seem to remember Padilla's posts were more interesting, but it is time to move on.
Trikkey
Gonna miss your articles opinions discussion and writing style good luck Raymond!

Goodbye Raymond, I hope your next job doesn't have you dealing with as many angry nerd fights.

i'm a little confused about the Uncharted-Twitter thing, wouldn't you have to link your twitter account to the game and even then it looks like it had different toggles for different updates...seems unlikely that someone could just "forget to disable it"...seems like it would be more work to turn it on, then turn it off.
i mean, I don't use twitter (for the reasons you stated...just seems dumb) but i think the Uncharted-twitter thing is getting kind of a bad rap, it looks to me that getting it to spam your friends with updates would actually take conscience effort.

R_Pad doesn't do push ups. He pushes the Earth down.

Everybody Loves Raymond wasn't a sitcom; It was a fact.

See, Raymond is even a class act. I would have told G4 where they could go.

The feed without RPad is like a PB&J sandwich without the Jelly.

first Layla left and now Raymond... why cruel world?

While I was never his biggest fan (I believe his attacks on my former employer were uncalled for, and not only showed a complete ignorance of the retail business as a whole, but seemed much more like using his role as a reporter to share his own personal disatisfaction with the masses) I hate to see anyone lose their livelyhood. Best of luck Raymond.

@ Mr. Padilla;
You will be missed, good sir.
