Welcome to Morning Hangover -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from our editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world. So buckle up, throw a Pokeball at the new week, and keep reading!

Patrick Klepek: I don't blame you for being a little confused. Why exactly am I comparing Brutal Legend against Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (other than to find yet another way to incorporate an Uncharted 2 reference into a Morning Hangover post)? There's actually an easy answer: both games are coming out on the same day, October 13. We're still a week out from both games launching, but given the economic climate, most gamers may have to choose one or the other.
Which way are you leaning?
TheFeed gang wants your thoughts on gaming, tech, how far behind America is with snacks, and more. Let everyone know what you're thinking and chat it up with your fellow readers. Leave comments on anything and everything that's on your (gaming/tech/nerd) mind!

If I had to pick one over the other it would be Uncharted 2 for the familiar multiplayer shooter with a twist and a solid single player campaign. I just don't see myself playing Brutal Legends multiplayer that much because aside from the multiplayer being RTS on console I'm also picky about the RTS' I play. However I am getting both particularly because of a toys R us deal running this week where it's buy 2 games get the 3rd free and an online code for $10 off purchases over $100.
I pretty much knew I was getting Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend and Modern Warfare 2; the real question will be whether or not I end up getting Demon's Souls, Borderlands and possibly Dragon Age but right now I have a strong feeling that I won't be because I'll have 3 other games to keep me busy well into and beyond Christmas.

Uncharted 2 for sure. I've been playing the multiplayer demo and it's incredible.

Uncharted 2 is untouchable! The first game is one of my favorite games ever! I cant wait till the 13th.

I already preordered both along with Ratchet & Clank, I also plan to buy Tekken 6. I have been living on unemployment benefits for the past 8 months, but I just got a student loan and was able to pay off my credit cards. I've known October was gonna break my bank for a long time. For the most part I don't buy second rate games, I save all my money for the best of the best.

BL I am picking up next week, Uncharted 2 I MIGHT pick up next summer when no new games come out, but only if the price is reduced.

I made sure to live on the bare minimum for a long time so I'll be picking both up on the same day. Now which to play FIRST. That's where my struggle really comes in.

Well since I have both systems and i loved both the first Uncharted about to play again and Psychonauts, I will be broke that week and get both games. Both demos are loads of fun, and with those as well as Need for Speed shift and NGS2 demos, you almost don't even need to put a game in your system to play. Also I'm getting MW2 on both systems. BROKE I TELL YA'LL!!!

I have both 360 and PS3.I'm a huge 360 fan but after playing the Uncharted 2 beta. For like 30 hours I have to say I'm in Love.this game is so effin sick

If you own a ps3, buy uncharted 2. if you don't, buy a ps3. refer back to first step after completion of step 2
Also, just compare the 2 demos out right now. Brutal Legend is sooo repetitive and the graphics are not too impressive, although I understand the more cartoonish feel to brutal legend.

My main concern with "Brutal Legend" is the gameplay. Not once have I seen a video that floored me.
As it stands this game has all the charm of "Hellboy: Science of Evil"
But lets be real. You don't get more metal than an RPG Deathmatch.
Come ask me on the 15th or the 16th and I'll be like; ...... uh, Brutal.....what?

Anyone know why I can't post reply's with IE 8
Actually Shocwave is right... I just don't know if MW2 can deviate enough from the previous for me to really want a day 1 purchase plus Activition kinda pissed me off with being so (darn) (Roastery) I would want the gaming comunnity to send them a message we're not thier little (Female Dogs thanks for the censorship G4). Will the game be good.... yeah of course. will I play it... yeah. Will it be the best game ever and change the face of gaming.... No. So you make a good game great get over it.

Uncharted 2 hands down! The beta is amazing

Uncharted 2 hands down. Brutal Legend looks...odd.

I wasn't planning on either to save some cash but after playing the Uncharted demo none-stop the past few days I'm seriously considering it. Sadly I can't say the same for Brutal Legend.
learnedfist
I've already reserved Uncharted 2. I like metal and humor, but I'm not a big hack & slash fan, so Brutal Legend will not be a day one buy for me.
GingerKid
I just played the demo for Brutal Legend and I have to be honest but I wasn't impressed at all, story seemed like it could be kinda funny but graphically seemed like PS2 or XBOX coulda handled it. I'll wait for the reviews before I spend any cash on that one.

So I had to look up Tim Schafer. I had no clue who he was/is. I don't pay all that much attention to who makes the games I like, I just like the ones I like.
Anyway when I looked him up I realized I have never played ANY of the games he has done. So him working on a title will have no effect on whether or not I pick up the game. But if anything looking back at the past games he has done and the fact that none drew my interest enough to play them, it looks bleak for Brutal Legend coming to my house for $60.
Although I had heard psychonauts was good, just never touched it.
Wozman23
I'm definitely getting Uncharted because I know exactly what I'm getting with it. I'll gamefly Brutal Legend and buy it if I like it, but I still haven't seen enough gameplay to quite know if its my kind of game. The same dilemma happens with the close releases of Borderlands and Ratchet & Clank. R&C is a day one purchase; Borderlands will need a rent first.
