Ah, the complications of digital distribution. Eurogamer reported this morning that anything you purchase through the DSiWare store on the DSi cannot be moved to another machine with a flick of a switch. If you pass on a DSi to someone else or lose the machine, there's no way to push the content over to a new DSi via account transference. According to Nintendo, sending in your broken machine is the only way for purchases to move over. Unfortunate news, albeit not surprising.
