Patrick Klepek: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves isn't even out yet and I can already feel myself slipping behind the 2009 release schedule, even though we've all been complaining that games are being delayed into 2010 every other day. Tokyo Game Show officially threw me off course, as I wait for people to finish up with Halo 3: ODST in the office before Nathan Drake becomes available (that came out wrong…). I don't know which games will end up slipping through the cracks -- last year it was Far Cry 2 -- but it's gonna happen. Have you already decided what's getting left behind?

When the AAA titles start dropping all at once, I usually buy the few that I want most on day one, and pounce on the rest after they've been discounted or become available used. Spreads the fun out over time, and saves money, too.

I'm for sure getting Uncharted 2, and Modern Warfare 2. I'm still decieding between Ratchet and Clank or Borderlands. Unless I get a raise sometime soon, then everything else gets left behind.

Far cry looks good but I've never been a fan of that indiana jones story type. I can never take it seriously when I'm playing so I never get that feeling of being sucked in.
Really, if its not sci-fi or fanstasy I get bored pretty fast. GTA4 was a technology incredible game but not very interesting to me. The whole time I kept wishing that it was a fantasy RPG set in a world that detailed. Nope, I'm gonna stay with ODST until I'm bored silly.

There are only like 5 games i have my eyes on between now and christmas. The 3 big ones are Ratchet and Clank, Call of Duty, and Assassin's Creed

why DO all the games have to come out during the holiday season?
i dont know why they cant space em out a little
sony is trying in the first half of next year, but why couldnt assassins creed come out in august?
it would have been the only game in town and would have sold literally hundreds of copies

This is one of those times that I am glad to not be into the COD's. That's going to be money that I can put to something else equally as awesome this fall/winter. It's a shame that anniversary time falls in october, that's money spent on the wife instead of the PS3

a good way to get to all the games without missing one are gamefly thats how ive managed not to fall behind but i dont think gamefly can save me from putting in 100+ hours in dragon age origins i dont care what anybody says bioware make the best game period. but uncharted 2 is def a MUST HAVE GAME!!

I think I will get NG2, Uncharted2, Ratchet and Clank, Motorstorm( I just like there series), and Demon Soul.... BTW have anyone pick up NG2 yet? I will pick it up this Friday on pay day.

The plus side to too many games coming out at once is I will be too busy playing the newest ones that I will miss some of the releases and by the time I get around to having time for them the price will have dropped or there will be plenty of used copies to go around.

SO FAR I've managed to stay ahead of it all. When mid October gets here I'm sure stuff's gonna start slipping through the cracks on me though.

I think Borderlands looks cool but after Uncharted 2, Assassin's 2, God of War Collection, Brutal Legend, Ratchet & Clank... I don't know if I'll have time to get around to Borderlands.
On a side note, I don't see my Xbox getting turned on again until Splinter Cell or Alan Wake comes out next year (haven't turned it on since beating Shadow Complex last month). ODST the expansion pack just doesn't do it for me.

Uncharted2 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma2 since I know both of those games are close to perfect O.O. Uncharted2 gets 98% on meta and NG2 we had xbots to beta test the product rofl!! So we now have 2 well done product!! EFFie on MW2 since COD4 had lots of bugs and patch so Ill wait for the review. Assasin's Creed II looks to be a well develope game unlike the first one.

Far Cry 2 is one of the most severely underrated and unappreciated games to hit the market last year.

So I last night a preview came on for SAW IV (whipping a dead horse there) and it made me wonder what happened to that SAW game? Did it already come out? I heard lots about it and then nothing.

I'm actually glad for some of the delays, 3 games is a good amount to get me through the holidays. I'm actually looking forward to the beginning of 09 the most, Mass Effect, Splinter Cell and Heavy Rain are all very high on my must have list for 09

CODMW2 and Brutal Legend, I have a feeling it will get good reviews but that game isn't for me at all. I'm trying to think of a game I actually want that may fall through the cracks, I think my holiday season looks a lot like ODST, Uncharted 2, and Assassin's Creed 2
