Microsoft Bundles

It's fast-approaching the holiday buying-tons season, and that means it's time for game companies to air out their grundles! Errr... I meant "bring out their bundles!" Microsoft has revealed two bundles this morning: The Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle and the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Game Pack. Here's what each will offer:

The Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle

The Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Game Pack

The Elite bundle is on sale now for $299 and the Wireless pack is coming later and will street for $59.99. What do you think of these deals? Good, bad or indifferent? Keep in mind: The 360 is already $50 cheaper due to the recent rebate.

One would almost think that MS didn't make holiday bundles every year in anticipation of, wait for it, the holiday season.

hahaha, this is too funny, soon as the ps3 slim was announced microsoft was all like "oh crap! its a much better deal and its the same price!" so they have been scrambling around to make all these bundles like the MW2 one and this holiday bundle, hoping it will boost sales, but by now people want i ps3. the only people going to buy this are people whos children really down to their heart want a 360 (not many) and the only ones buying the MW2 bundle will be xbox fanboys who have enough money to get another console because they love their modern warfare, but overall, this isnt going to boost sales much and they will stay relatively the same, ps3 on the other hand... keeps climbing.. and climbing..

Kind of a lame bundle...not really sure those two games are even close to being strong enough to turn an unsure consumers eye towards Microsoft. Just something I'd see as "Oh great, 2 games I probably wouldn't play. Meh."

Ok, so maybe I'd play Lego Batman after I run out of money/games to play, but chances are if I'm buying a $300 console, I'm buying a game or two (at least) that I really want, and will be ignoring Pure and Lego Batman for a while.

Um, I wouldn't really call Naughty Dog, Kojima, Insomniac and Sucker Punch b list developers. You truely are the definition of a stupid fanboy. Stop spouting off idiotic comments. Both systems have great exclusives, great features and great developers. If you really cant see that or understand that you aren't really a gamer your just another douche bag fanboy with no idea of what gaming is really about.

MS is handing out hot piping ass whooping to the PS3 in style. Sony has nothing to compete with except titles from b list developers that dont seem to hold any water.

I would think they would have an Uncharted 2 bundle:
    Premium Elite
    Uncharted 2 Game
    Wireless Controller

    $329.00 would be sweet

this bundle is a joke! Batman legos who cares, Pure- you'll get bored of it. Controller thats fine! Geometry Wars, like i really wanna do math! Lumines, couldnt tell you! Bomberman just sounds stupid. MS PAC MAN ladies and gentleman!!! Oh and a 48 hour xbox gold trial doesnt sound golden for a true gamer. It amazes me how everybody burns there money away towards a billion dollar company just to play online!

So Sony bundles with games like Killzone 2, LBP, AC2, UC2, and FF13. MS bundles with games like Lego: Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda, Lego: Batman, Pure, and MW2? Sure the MW2 bundle is decent but, the rest of the bundles suck. Sorry this bundle blows. The controller bundle is nice though, the standard price for a controller is $50, for an extra $10 you get a few decent games, especially Geometry Wars. I like that game :)

sigh...what the hell are you guys talking about? Every console maker produces bundles towards the holiday season. Its not because their "desperate" or "...the "REBATE ain't working."

I think its funny that everytime these guys drop the price they are "desperate". Please. The wave the the future is to basicaly give these consoles away. MS, Sony, and even Nintendo don't really see much of a return on the console investment. The money is in the software. The money is in the downloads, add-ons, accesories and subscriptions.

All the console makers want is to have THEIR console in every home.- YES, EVERY HOME. They want their console to be as much a part of your living room as the DVD Player and Television. As sales go up, the price of tech goes down-period.

Now excuse me I have to go pre-order Uncharted 2 cause that game looks siiiiick...!

How about adding wi-fi, Blu-Ray, free online play, web browser, Bluetooth, upgradable universal HDDs, and rechargeable controllers for $299. Now that's a deal. Does anybody know where I can get all of that for $299?

They should bundle it with ODST. Since it only took them 1 developer a week just to add new maps and change chief face.... Yeah 1 hr long ODST for 60 bucks!! So freaking awesome!

What kind weak bundle is this? Add a bigger hard drive or a hardcore game to the list. This bundle will only atract the little kids and moms. I doubt this will sell at all.

Fair guess, these bundles are geared more for parents to buy for their (younger) kids that don't have a 360 yet. I mean, as far as adults go, we all have jobs (at least we *should*) and can budget to buy whatever we want when we want it. But these look like pretty good packages for younger demographics... I think it's actually a good setup for the holiday season for that purpose.

the controller one looks like a great deal. the black wireless controllers controllers are $50 and those arcade games are either $5 or $10.

This is as cheap a deal as it gets! M$! please do better with these so called bundles. A better "deal" would be to add an extra X-box as back-up (for the same price) when the other breaks.

It seems the "REBATE" ain't working.

Some may think it is a slap in the face with the new package console. But in recent historical moments when consoles are done in packages, you must wonder what they are up to with the price this low in a nice package. In my views, they definitely are making a new console right now for the market and is probably out after 2010. It is going to be bigger thing than THIS.
