This week is a big one for Sony since its highly anticipated PSP Go will finally be hitting store shelves on Thursday (October 1st). A few of us here at G4 had some hands-on time with the new portable device last week, and everyone came away mighty impressed. But what’s a cool piece of technology without anything to do on it? Well, Sony has made sure that this won’t be a problem come launch day, as IGN recently found out.
Sony says that it plans to have 225 downloadable games, which consists of full PSP games, PSN exclusives, UMD games and Minis, Sony's new iPhone app-ish games division. On the non-gaming side, there will also be 2,300 movies and 13,300 episodes of television shows, and more. All in all, there’s expected to be around 16,000 pieces of content available on day one. Not too shabby at all for the latest digital darling.
How many of you are picking up a PSP Go? What’s the first piece of content you’re going to download?

The psp go should be priced around $129.This would make it more appealing to early adopters. This will make it easy push downloadable games and move away from U.M.D.s

They have already cut any reason for owning this game system totally out of the deal, inlaid buttons, no UMDs or means to transfer them, and it doesnt really do anything that a PSP slim with a large enough memory card cant do...and for less money.
Enjoy your flop sony, its well deserved...and this is from a PS3 fan.

When i get one i got to get God of War, Gran Turismo, Motorstorm, Peace Walker, and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (when it comes out). Im glad I waited til now to purchase a psp.

I have no plans to buy one, but at least Sony is getting a good number of games out ASAP for those who do. I was wondering if this was going to be a really slow process of where we would see like hardly any games at the start.
