Microsoft has rolled out a number of demos showing how Project Natal can work with existing Xbox 360 games -- Burnout Paradise, Beautiful Katamari -- but the company dashed hopes of Project Natal-enabling patches once the hardware is released. Kudo Tsunoda, otherwise known as the man who demo'd Project Natal at E3, told Destructoid this would be difficult.
According to Tsunoda, it's required substantial coding efforts on Microsoft's part to reengineer these games for Project Natal. A simple patch (as patches have size limits) would not likely be enough for games to suddenly start incorporating Project Natal controls. Already released Xbox 360 games with Project Natal support aren't out of the question, but it's more likely those will come in the form of outright re-releases, rather than downloadable updates.
Maybe there won't be a bunch of patches for existing Xbox 360 games, but is there any reason Microsoft and third-party publishers couldn't release some of the better retrofits as downloable demos included with Project Natal or through Xbox Live? You can have that idea for free, Microsoft.

I can't wait for the Natal. I love video games. I also love new tech. I really don't care to replay games that weren't made to be played with the new system. I want to play the games made for the Natal. When it comes out I will get it and play my ass off. All you SonyBots can just go play with your little wand, like you always have done, while all us X-BOTS blast into the future with our next gen. entertainment.

Second, its a business, they can do what they want with their games, and I think it will be better to charge again for games to come with Natal capabilities. Personally, I dont see any of my games that would benefit from it, nor any others that are already out. And I dont want to HAVE to download a patch to play a game again then see that the easiest of tasks without the update are made hard because I DONT HAVE NATAL. Ever think about that smarty pants?

i think the ps3 will sell more next year due to the fact their motion control is coming out earlier. the casual folk don't pay attention to whats coming out. they just flock to the store whenever they see something that might get their kids excercising, instead of seeing whats better. aka natal and ps3 motion control over wii

I can't wait to see what developers do with the tech, I can see a RTS or a game that requires micromanagement coming out. A Turn base jrpg would also work with Natal pretty well.
Actually all together the only limitation is someone's imagination, if you can't see many games coming from this then you must not have an imagination.

I think anyone that wanted motion control gaming already has a Wii or still plans to buy one. I bought one on release and I do enjoy a few of the games, especially lately. But for hard core games, the 360 or PS3 is the way to go. My choice was the 360 because I only know one person with a PS3 and about 30 with a 360 so my online gaming is obviously gonna be with my 360 buddies. Microsoft and Sony are wasting their time and money on this one though. I have no desire for Natal. I have NOOOOO desire for a PS3.

Natal will fail, from a writer's point of view. It is trying to accomplish way to much, and is probably not going to live up to all of it. I personally don't like motion controls period, so this isn't just hate towards Natal. Also at crackingcody, Natal is more of a PS Eye version 2. seeing how the PS2 Eye Toy did, what Natal is trying to accomplish, Sony just never took advantage of it. Natal is just making a next-gen version of it, with a few more features. Of course a project of this massive size and caliber will have a few, if not many problems too it, hopefully they can patch it up or something. This post is probably going to get rated down but I really don't care, I just needed to tell you something and even though its the truth it will sadly get rated down.
