Welcome to "Morning Hangover" -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from two of TheFeed's editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world. So buckle up, throw a Pokeball at the new week, and keep reading!

Tokyo Game Show - 2008 Feature Content

Stephen Johnson: Now that Tokyo Game Show is over and done with for another year, I’m sure you’ll be hearing a lot of expert analysis from video-game journalists, bloggers, analysts and other blowhards. But you’ve seen the coverage: What do you think? What was the most exciting part of the show for you? What’s the biggest letdown? Has your gotta-get-these-games list changed because of what you’ve learned?

Raymond Padilla: Sony latest spin on handheld gaming -- the PSPgo -- hits stores this week. Eschewing UMDs for digital downloads, the PSPgo is a bold product -- not just from an industrial design point of view, but also for being an early representative of gaming without physical media. Everyone knows that digital distribution is the future of games; it's only a matter of time until the final bell tolls for discs. Is the time right for the PSPgo? Are gamers ready to go all digital? Or is the product hitting the market too early? More importantly, are any of you going to buy a PSP go this week? Why or why not?

Be sure to check out all of G4tv.com's PSP go coverage hitting later today (awesome stuff just minutes from now)! [Uses TV news voice] Reporting from Yokohama, this is Raymond Padilla, G4tv.com (always wanted to say something like that).

TheFeed gang wants your thoughts on gaming, tech, the awesomeness of Brett Favre, and more. Let everyone know what you're thinking and chat it up with your fellow readers. Leave comments on anything and everything that's on your (gaming/tech/nerd) mind! The reader with the best comment will share a Pokeball with Brian Leahy!

i am interested in the psp go, but i will wait until the price is lowered. the psp go will be even better if you could play games like super street fighter turbo, nhl arcade, turtles in times reshelled and other on it.

The fact is not everyone out there likes to sit in there house and play games. The PSPgo was made just for that reason, for people on the go, and make it more pocket size. I don't like lugging my PS3 everywhere, i can't play it the car on road trips. I have my PS3 set up as a Media server with my CPU and with my PSP I can access all my iTunes music and all my movies that are stored on there. A 16gb PSPgo would become a 1TB!!! The DS is not capable of doing that and that's why a PSPgo costs more. The DS is for kids!!!

Wouldn't it be better to still sell the physical media but allow you to DL to your device so you don't have to carry anything? There's plenty of ways to keep people from passing the disc around.

I don't know why everyone is ragging on the PSPgo, everyone loves the iPod touch and iPhone and that's why Sony made the PSPgo, to compete with Apple. They're just giving the people that like gaming another option in that market. As for the price, it seems a little high but it is in the same price point as the 16gb iPod touch.

We have a PSP we hardly play. So no, we won't be getting the PSP Go.

Anyway, somewhat off topic, but is there any confirmation yet that Alpha Protocol has been delayed? Both GameStop and Amazon have pushed the date back, but I haven't seen anything out of Obsidian or Sega.

sony wants to waste its money because i believe that everyone wanted a dual analog stick handheld but they didn't listen and now they have some gimp, one sticked, UMDless, mini handheld and no one wants that when in the first place, the system has been out since 2005 and only has like 400 games, few of which are enjoyable..

it was cool to see those graphics on a handheld but they just haven't made the PSP worth wanting yet..

    @ Raymond Padilla

"...it's only a matter of time until the final bell tolls for discs." Don't say that! I am dreading that day, I still want my discs! Hell, I don't even buy music on iTunes (or any other music distribution service), I still buy CD's! I don't mind having the ability for digital distribution, but when I don't have the choice of weather I want a disc or not, that will be a problem for me. I'm not saying I liked UMD's, and digital distribution makes a lot of sense for a handheld, but I still want some form of physical media. I hope for the next iteration of the PSP they don't completely drop physical media. I would think that having two Memorystick slots would be a good idea, one for games and one for memory (and they start selling games on memory stick), and also have internal memory.
