As Saturday is an insanely crowded public day at Tokyo Game Show, after shooting a pile of pictures and finishing up a final appointment, I headed back to Tokyo for my last order of TGS business – a visit to Polyphony Digital, the home of Gran Turismo.
Being a huge fan of the series I’ve always wanted to visit the studio, and as you can see by this photo gallery, the place is pretty incredible. We got a lengthy presentation of Gran Turismo 5 from series creator and Polyphony CEO Kazunori Yamauchi, some time with the game (see our hands-on preview of Gran Turismo 5), and a tour of their location. This place is no joke. From having one of the largest server processing rooms (and cools Kazunori’s wine collection), an elevator that lifts cars into the studio, to a hotel for staff to sleep – Polyphony Digital is one of the most interesting studios I’ve ever visited.
Words can barely describe, so make sure you check out our Polyphony Digital Studio Tour photo gallery to see for yourself!

everyone scouts the opponent, NFL, college sports, competitors in business. It's nothing new and i bet you the forza team has scouted granturismo a number of times before.

@RROD
Didn't Polyphony send some of its people to "take notes" from Forza 3 at E3? I do believe people who need to be "taught" a lesson take notes.

Wow look at the Japanese sweat shop everyone. This is were the most overrated racing games are made.

FORZA III Damage system looks too OLD!
You crash head on into another car and all what you will see is paint scratches!
- You hit the rear right light in the car in front of you then the other one simply broke even you didn t touch it.
- Any accident no matter how awful it is, can t affect the length of the chassis.
- Lights sometimes survive a huge direct hit, while they may be broke in a silly indirect collision.

More of the same from 2 years ago with the Xbox. What else is new?

The game with the 360 is Forza 3.
Apparently 3 employees of Digital Polyphony were killed smuggling it out of Turn 10's studios.
Thus the delay to 2010.

I found it amusing that in one of the pictures that they have Xbox 360 hooked up and one game to go with it.Considering they are making games for Sony.
