Sony unveiled a brand new trailer for Team ICO's fantasy adventure title The Last Guardian during Tokyo Game Show. Sadly, the trailer didn't reveal too much new stuff, other than the bird-dog-cat's adorable ear scratching animation. Well, Sony has now released a new "extended trailer" of sorts that includes a brief behind-the-scenes look at the game, as well as an interview with Team ICO director Fumito Ueda about the game's melding of fantasy and reality. My prediction for this game remains the same.... the creature will die in the end. In fact I wouldn't doubt it at all that it will die by your own hands. In my opinion this title seems to be a story about growing up, a tale woven to reflect the passage of a young boys journey into manhood where he eventually leaves such fantasies behind him and moves on. Trust me, this one will pull at your heart strings. Be prepared to cry.

When you have a company u trust making great games you don't need anything special to get excited about it. i.e. S. Spielberg P. Jackson when yo see their names on a movie their directing(most) people will get excited for it with just a teaser(not saying they don't make bad movies) but most(going by rating and sales)people trust them to make a good move same with Team ICO and their games but i do understand your concern

So far I really don't see the appeal of this game. Nothing shown makes me even remotely want to play it. Is the hype for this game just because people liked the other games made by this company? Or is there some more information somewhere that I have overlooked?

I hope Fumita Ueda will make a great game. The Last Guardian is one hell of a franchise... It is not just AAA title. It is a masterpiece. I hope this game will achieve the same quality as Shadow Of the colossus or ICO.
