Updated 3:18AM PST: Now with picture! It's slim and white, with a touch of pink.
Square Enix's Yoshinori Kitase revealed that the company will be working with Sony to release a limited edition PlayStation 3 with Final Fantasy XIII branding. The console will be white, come with a matching controller, have a 250GB, and cost 41,600 yen. As much as I'd love to have one in America, I don't like our chances. This info was delivered during Sony's Tokyo Game Show 2009 press conference.
In other Final Fantasy news, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VIII is now available for download in Japan.

If they want to sell consoles in the US this is just the type of exclusives that the US markets wants, but Sony refuses to provide. If they want the US numbers to go up then it would make sense to offer this FFXIII console to US customers!

Hopefully with the increasing sales of the PS3 in regions outside of Japan they will feel more inclined to finally release different color schemes for others to enjoy as well.

As if Japanese games aren't feminine enough they go and make a PrettyS3. How about one like Modern Warfare 2 or a GoW model?

Only in Japan would gamers go gaga over a touch of pink in their console... they haver different taste. As for the bundle, I hope NA gets MW2 from Sony, FF13 is awesome too..
