Although World War II is well-trodden territory when it comes to gaming, developers continue to make games surrounding the premiere event of the 20th Century. And, so it is with the new PC game Order of War, for which Allen Rausch has been kind enough to write a review:
'World War II has been done a million times in a million strategy games, so a game needs to be pretty special to stand out. Genre newcomers Wargaming.net and Square Enix tried to do just that with Order of War, a broad-based real-time strategy title that tries to combine hard-core strategy, accessibility and cinematic flair. The result is a good-looking but shallow title that ultimately fails to satisfy.'
