Are you ready for more on the potential lawsuit between Courtney Love and Activision over the use of Kurt Cobain's image in Guitar Hero 5? Eighties rocker Jon Bon Jovi is on Love's side... or at least sees where she's coming from.
Bon Jovi says Activision approached him about being a playable character in the game, but he turned the offer down.
"I had the paperwork, they wanted me to be on that game and I just passed," Bon Jovi told the BBC."But no-one even broached the subject with me that I would be singing other people's stuff. I don't know how I would have reacted to that. I don't know that I would have wanted it either...To hear someone else's voice coming out of a cartoon version of me? I don't know. It sounds a little forced." he added.
And there is the crux of the issue, people: Bon Jovi can decide for himself whether he wants to be seen singing an A.F.I song in a video game and Kurt Cobain can't. Sadly, Mr. Cobain has only his estate, run by Courtney Love, to look after his best interests.
The moral of the story: Don't commit suicide if you're a rock star! For that matter: Don't commit suicide at all. For that matter: Don't die, either.
