Microsoft Has 802.11n Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter In The Works

Are you annoyed at the 802.11b/g speeds of your Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter? Is that paltry bandwidth no longer cutting the mustard for you? Well fear not! Microsoft has a speedy 802.11n adapter in the works and submitted to the FFC for approval. According to Engadget , the adapter has been submitted to the FCC. For those that haven't been following the 802.11n spec (which took more than two years to get finalized), it offers up to six times the peak performance of 802.11g. Gamers looking for better range and throughput should keep their eyes peeled for this one.

Personally, I greatly prefer a wired connection over a wireless one -- especially for gaming. That said, wires can be unsightly and, in some cases, unfeasible for some living rooms. An 802.11n adapter is a great choice for those looking for the best performance. Now I wonder how much this bad boy will cost....
