There comes a time in every young man's life (or woman's) where he (or she) starts to ask questions. Questions about life, about love, and most importantly, about video games. For you, Feed readers, that time is now. (And roughly this same time every week for the forseeable future.) If your question provokes the targeted amount of thought, we will attempt to answer it on this week's episode of Feedback.

Let's hear 'em in the comments below. Make sure you have an avatar associated with your profile, otherwise we can't use you on the air -- and please, phrase all questions in the form of a question.

it seems like the gaming industry is falling into a formulaic hollywood-esque system where the same game is coming out over and over and over. i'm not saying these games aren't fun or have new elements in them, but almost every game is a dude walking around killing things (this goes back to games like mario which was the first gigantic blockbuster game franchise). there are a few exceptions which have themselves become formulaic, like music games and racing games, but as game studios start getting bought up by major media conglomerates (disney) is there any hope for innovation in the future? or will we be playing essentially the same game for the rest of our lives?

When you look at gaming entertainment. Where do you draw the line at what is fun to play and what looks like fun to play. To explain when I first saw the game Resident Evil 2 for the PlayStation it looked really fun to play. I found out it was not. the same applies for Halo. When people watch me its fun for them. When I try getting them into the drivers seat they start having a bad time. so where is the line between watching and playing fun?

Is there a future for user created content for games. id software announced that their new game Rage will not ship with an SDK unusually for id. Many games have benifitted from custom fan made levels and given them longevity.

Halo 3 ODST COD and Boarderlands it seems that if you want a successful game you a gun in it. maybe they should give the prince a gun in the new katamari damacy. think about it how much fun would it be when the police shoot at you when your just minding you own business rollin up a city you shoot back.

I guess my real question is: why does it seem every game needs to be gun crazy and super violent. my whole thing is we already have Halo, and COD, Fall Out 3, MAD World, No More Heros ect. and these are are good games i'm just tired of gratuitous violence being the only draw for the copious other lack luster game. games are so expensive to make now-of-days it seems like it'd be cheaper to make unique games that are fun
!!when will developers do what best for their bottom line and our intertainment.!!

we need good games with real story that promote videogames as an art not ones that portray them as adolescent novelties

I have noticed over the last year or so video game media and the industry has been progressively ignoring the PC platform. I cant begin to count the number of times i have gone to a website and the PC version of a game not being listed with the others, during interviews with developers them not mentioning the game is coming out for the PC, the PC versions of games getting delayed or pushed back to months after the console versions get released and more recently the PC version of games not getting a collectors edition. The most recent examples of games to not get a collectors edition for the PC are Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2 and Batman: Arkham Asylum.

The funny thing is that I have found when ever anyone brings this up to try and discuss it, we get labeled as fanboys or whinnying bitches. But I can guarantee you if one of the big gaming sites or a huge developer did things like this for the PS3 or 360 release of a game there would be such an uproar of people screaming "COMPANY X HATES THE 360/PS3! NEVER BUY THERE GAMES OR GO TO THEIR SITE!" and no one would say a thing. Why do you think there is this double standard in the gaming community? And do you see websites as well as Developers/Publishers ever stopping this way of treating the PC release of a game? or is it just going to get worse?

Now a days most gamers buy games just for the online multilplayer, rather than the standard single player mode. Should games like Halo, and Call Of Duty, come with just online multilplayer only? Unstead of forking over sixty dollers, cut the price in half and just have the online multilpayer.

I have one very last one for you, Why would the people at BioWare make The Old Republic only for Pc, Was it not the consoles / XBox owners who made The Knights of the Old Republic the Game of the year ? I know that every one who first heard the the old Republic was only going to be for Pc ALL had said " BioWare would not do that to us" ! Many even myself included almost feel that we got slaped in the face over this, and than to top it off the go and make it sound like they are not even thinking of making KotOR 3, we have waited for more of the story the had us begain with. I have seen leaked footage of BattleFrount 3 as well, it looked ready and done, are we EVER going to get that game as well, and not the stuff they showed on that GTTv ?

Here's a good 1 for you, Many, many Ps3 owners go out and buy the best shooter out on their Ps3, KillZone 2, but as they keep playing it online they soon find out that they keep getting kicked out and dropped from the server due to tons and tons of network errors. Now the problem has gotten SO VERY bad that the players are now no longer wanting to play the game. This is a problem for players all over the world, We have asked and begged for some one to fix this for monthes now but our pleas fall on deaf ears. I have and others I know have gotten replys back saying it is our accounts set up fault, but if that where so than why is it only KillZone 2 than every one is having problems with. Thety need to fix their KillZone 2 game BADDLY, it is one of there flagship games, there system seller, and the online has the most server problems I have ever seen or heard of. I hope you pick this to talk about and Know that many of thousands would be greatfull if you got Sony to fix this problem sooner than later. Good Luck

Last week i picked up guitar hero 5 and noticed a little Logo on the box that said "Havok" (aka, this game has a physics engine in it) I notice that a lot of my current generation console games used ether Havok or PhysX, unlike my PS2. I understand how all games need some sort of Physics, (what goes up, most come down) but in a game like GH? did this game really need a full physics engine? In the end my main Question is "Is having a physics engine in games, stander now a days?"

Do you think games have gotten easier and if not, do you think there is still a market for games that have more challenging difficulty levels like Ninja Gaiden SIgma, etc?

I have a few for you. 1) I own a Ps3 and a 360, I buy the games for what ever system the the game has extra content on, & have never thought that it is fair that some people pay the same price for a game on one system but does not get the same ammount of game. 2) This one I hear every one playing PlayStation 3 saying they want, and always yell about when it does not happen, Is Sony ever going to Upgrade their chat ? Ps3 owers Want Party / Cross Game Chat is that EVER going to happen ? 3) G4 is ComCast's tech Tv, right ? Than why is it not broadcasted in HD ? As it is now, it's tech Tv without the tech. I am sure if you took a viewer poll you would all find your viewers really want G4 in HD, and would also find that if you where broadcast in HD you viewer ratings would sky rocket...

Does the new 2D-HD Sonic game have even a chance at being as great as we hope, or is Sonic forever lost to airboarding and Olympic games?

Games like Mass Effect 1 and 2 are essentially RPG's, yet they have heavy third person action elements. The multiplayer components of both COD4 and MW2 are primarily 1st person shooters, yet they too draw elements in their design from a different game genre: RPG's. Do you think this trend of genre blending will continue? What effect will this have on gaming in the future?

P.S. Ignore the first question. Thanks!

Does the story of six days in fallujah prove that the gaming industry is a bunch of hypocrites and game will be hard pressed to accepted at a form of art by the general public?
