Rumor Says Next World of Warcraft Races Revealed

World of Warcraft isn't going anywhere. Blizzard may be working on another massively multiplayer online game, but it's not intended to replace its bread-and-butter. The studio has confirmed it's working on another online endeavor while keeping specifics about it under wraps. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick shined a little more light on it during a Deutsche Bank Securities Technology Conference talk that GameSpot was listening on.

Kotick described Blizzard's other MMO as a game that will have "a little more broad appeal," suggesting it won't be set in the orcs 'n elves fantasy world that dominates MMO games.

At PAX, former-1UP-editor-turned-Ignition Entertainment business developer Shane Bettenhausen teased that Blizzard's MMO was set in the present. Maybe he's right.
