Sony's received plenty of feedback about the changes implemented with PlayStation 3 firmware 3.0 and while the company is looking into providing users with the ability to customize the look of the interface, the more pressing issue was users reporting a game crashing bug introduced in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Firmware 3.01 has been released today to "improve system stability" and supposedly fixes the Uncharted problem.
If you're able to update your system today, let me know if there's still an issue.

My game still freezes around chapter 4. The world ends and I fall off.

I have not been able to log on to SOCOM since the update. After the updates update, still no SOCOM. Why don't they just leave the thing alone and let us play our stupid games.

I just purchased the slim, updated to 3.0, then Uncharted kept freezing up during the third level and my controller also went screwy while in system menus. I installed 3.01 and Uncharted stopped freezing and controller is good.

Well they still havent fixed the problem with music.
You cant play music while using brower. While look at a slideshow/pictures.
to switch song you must stop the previous song just to search for another. and these are all things that could be done before ps3 update 3.00. I would just like to know why they would take off such a good part of the ps3

Ok now that is hilarious, Sony had to release a patch that was .01 bigger just to fix Uncharted? i wonder how many Ps3s will suffer the same fate when Uncharted 2 comes out.

They sort of fixed the issue with the Rockband controller assignments with 3.0 so that made me happy.

thats funny noone cus my uncharted never crashed either and i played through about half way through in one sit down and never crashed. i did realize how far gaphix have come since then. this was probably one of the best looking games out at the time. now it just looks OK to me now cant wait for the next exciting new episode of uncharted.

I haven't had an issue with my game either. All was and is smooth and sweet with my new slim!

Picked up a slim when they hit the market. Only issue I've had is freezing when trying to get out of the browser with Flash stuff running (or rather, Flash stuff failing to load fast enough).

That's funny, because I never had a problem with Uncharted crashing. I've been playing it since the last update.
