Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers Arrives December 26

It might not be Final Fantasy XIII, but Square Enix is slipping one more Final Fantasy game in before 2009 is up. The publisher's announced that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers will arrive on the Wii on December 26, just days before the calendar rolls over to 2010.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers picks up 1,000 years after the conclusion of the original Crystal Chronicles. In this new world, magic isn't respected, it's feared. The use of magic is considered "taboo," in Square Enix's own words.

I enjoyed the DS version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, but haven't been keeping a close eye on the Wii version.

This game looks incredible! I never really used the multiplayer on the original Crystal Chronicles (since finding another person with a GBA cable was damn near impossible), so I don't mind a purely single player outing. Plus, my birthday is 4 days after it comes out, so I don't really care that they didn't release it on Christmas. Mwahaha! xD

OK, I have been looking forward to this game since I first heard about it ages ago (it seems) and was recently disappointed to find out that this game is not multiplayer like previous installments in the crystal chronicles franchise. From what Nintendo Power has told me, this game is simply an action adventure game. So basically its final fantasy zelda. Whatever.

The best part of the series has always been the four player co-op, although this title is single player only but I'm still willing to give it a try.

I always thought the crystal chronicle series looked good but I never played one. I think that will change once this game comes out.

This is nothing new.I remember FF 10 appearing just one week before the new year when it was released back in 01.This game looks really beautiful and looks to have a descent production value as well.

Logic fail. If they had it released before Christmas then it would have sold a lot more.

I loved the original Crystal Chronicles, but never played the DS one. I've been hoping for some online play for a long time now so that my fiancee and my friends could play, but unfortunately I haven't seen that yet. I'm hopeful for this one though. I just hope this supports voice chat in some form. If not I guess I'll have to resort to Xbox LIVE chat.
