The story that Steve told you yesterday about those Left 4 Dead 2 boycotters who ended up getting a personal tour of Valve’s studio is easily one of the funniest I’ve heard in some time. I mean, how awkward must that have been for those guys? However, a bit of welcomed news came out of the visit, with Valve revealing that players can expect more DLC after the upcoming “Crash Course,” Shacknews reports.
As one of the boycotters reported on Steam’s community forum, the next DLC will contain either, “a new Special Infected, a new Campaign or new Weapon(s).”
Well, yeah. I could have told you that. Still, it's good to hear, and it just shows, once again, how dedicated Valve is to its fans, even if those fans sometimes engage in misguided and absurd behavior like supporting boycotts of its games.

I have to say when I first heard of L4D, I was like, "WTF, oh no not another zombie game..." Then I remember jumping on the Demo to see what it was about. It was the first time in my life ever seeing The Valve logo. It turned out that I would play that demo more than I played some of the games I owned XD. I bought the game a month after it came out, and I have to say it was one of the best games I have ever played. I played that game almost every second until one of my friends cracked the disc.... I love Valve so much now though that I will buy L4D1 and L4D2 hopefully within a week of the release date of L4D2. Thanks Valve for being the only company who supports gamers. At least on company figured out that the more you support your fanbase, the more money they wil spend on you!

Left 4 dead 1 was Great because of all the hordes and the mini bosses like the hunter,boomer,the which,smoker but i think L4D2 is going to be ten times beter.

I think it was perfectly legitimate to question a supposedly full fledged sequel to L4D only a year after the release of the original game. How long did it take them to come out with Half Life 2? I mean come on we all know that L4D 2 is just a cash in. Even Morgan Webb, in the recent feedback stated that L4d 2 is really L4D 1.5 or 1.3. That does not mean it will be a terrible game, but Valve is usually not known for pulling the ol expansion pack sequel.

I'd probably be playing L4D and L4D2, like i think what's going to happen is maybe i want to play the campaigns in the first L4D then other days play L4D2, I'm sure valve will update both periodically to keep the game fresh and awesome.

I can't stand the boycotters. L4D 1 was an awesome game and I got a ton of gameplay out of it. L4D 2 looks like it would be way too big to release as DLC (at a DLC price). And yes it blows my mind that EA churns out crappy sports games every year and adds like 1 new feature and when Valve releases something that's totally new, people start crying. Stop thinking that Valve owes you something. L4D 1 was worth $60 and I'm sure L4D 2 will be as well.

If there are people who are boycotting this DLC because Microsoft is charging for it (not Valve), then why don't these people just get L4D2 on Steam so they can get whatever Valve wants to give them for free?
Or, are these the people boycotting L4D2 because they feel a sense of entitlement because they think that Valve shouldn t have made L4D2 and they wanted it as DLC for L4D1?
Or are these the people that are boycotting L4D2 because it is insensitive to the victims of Hurricane Katrina?
Damn, I m confused. I think L4D2 should be in the Guinness Book of World Records for most numerously absurd reasons for boycotting a (most likely) good product that hasn t even come out yet.

Haha, I completely saw this coming. Dumbass boycotters know nothing. I knew they were going to continue to support l4d and these boycotters shouldn't be allowed to have either of the games.

I want a Special Infected and a new gun. Campaigns are alright, but with other people handling that it's not -that- important.

what i dont understand is why no one gets upset over the yearly madden releases. what can they offer to keep me interested in buying the same game as last year that couldnt be added as DLC?
valve doesnt have a history of churning out sequel after sequel so if you are a fan be happy they are giving you a second game to enjoy.
