Welcome to "Morning Hangover" -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from two of TheFeed's editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world. So buckle up, kiss your beloved faction goodbye, and keep reading!

Stephen: I have the nerd flu, and I didn’t even go to PAX. From what I hear, everyone in all of the gaming industry is sick with something. I think gamers have naturally weak immune systems.
Being out sick the last few days gave me a chance to look deeper into The Xbox 360’s many and varied entertainment options. I was checking out all the Netflix material available on my 360, but then, right in the middle of This American Life, my Xbox red-rings, leaving me sick, miserable, and without the television version of Public Radio International best program ever. Plus it’s my freakin’ birthday.
I restarted it, and, for some inexplicable reason, the red-ring disappeared and my box works fine… but for how long?? Please tell me how sorry you feel for me in our comment section. And send Kleenex. Lots of Kleenex.

Patrick: As I near the end of Batman: Arkham Asylum, I've been thinking about the the impact of a license. My girlfriend is playing through Batman: Arkham Asylum pretty much in tandem with me. She's a Batman freak -- obsessed with the toys, comics, movies, everything. This will probably end up being one of her favorite video games of all-time. I'm definitely loving the game, too, but without the same level of enthusiasm. Her fanaticism, however, is multiplied because of her unabashed fangirlism for Batman. This game does a fantastic job of implementing the core characteristics of Batman into an otherwise great game, one that can be enjoyed without knowing who Batman is. I'm jealous of how much she's enjoying it, though. She's flipping out. Who wouldn't want to feel that way about a video game? About anything?
