This is the 4,378th reason The Beatles: Rock Band is the most awesome game ever: The game's downloadable tracks will feature unique backgrounds and animations.
Later Beatles tracks in the game feature animated "dreamscapes" done in the Beatles' psychedelic style, and each of the DLC tracks that take place in later years will feature its own background.
"DLC songs which don't end up in historical venues will have custom dreamscapes, yes," Dare Matheson Lead Artist on the game told Joystiq. "There will be visual themes and elements that will stretch from the on-disc dreamscapes into the DLC dreamscapes, but everyone is custom, unique, and fully-crafted for the song it will accompany. It's a bargain!"
Yeah, it's a bargain -- the tracks will cost the Rock Band's usual $2.00 per.
Right now, three classic Beatles albums have been announced for DLC (Rubber Soul, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Abbey Road) but I sincerely hope (and actually expect) that the entire Beatles catalog will be available eventually. How can you even call it a Beatles game without all of Revolver? Time will tell whether my prediction comes true, of course.

Some of the dreamscapes on the disc are obviously way more detailed than others. Sgt. Pepper's, for example, is wonderfully epic, while others like Revolution and USSR basically take place in the studio but with different lights and patterns and background elements. They're fun too, but I hope we see more of the dreamscapes that really head off to other places like Yellow Submarine and Sgt. Pepper and Dear Prudence and so on.
Penny Lane cries out for some sort of urban dreamscape. I could see a mod fantasy version of '60's city life spinning around the lads.

The songs have been screaming themselves in my head since I've played this morning but I won't get the chance to play again until Saturday. *cry*

i'm hoping for every track, every album, even the stuff that's been released in the last 20 years like the live at the bbc stuff (the songs that weren't on albums) and the anthologies (free as a bird, that means a lot, cry for a shadow, etc.) but a lot of the album tracks obviously lack guitar or drums. i guess we'll see how because is handled when abbey road is out next month. probably just "no drums in this track" warning. but i'm a completist and i want even revolution 9 even though you could do pretty much nothing with it. yes, i'll pay $2 for a track that i can't do anything with.

Looking forward to DLC. This game rocked. Yes, a bit easy, but it was a lot more FUN to play rather than challenging.

The prices make sense when you have different copyright owners of the Beatles catalog

HMM, tell me if i'm wrong but if a separate video game titled ''The Beatles: Rock Band'' doesn't include ALL of The Beatles tracks, is it not an unfinished, or partial game?
Wow sounds like a BIG WASTE of money to me.
Maybe everybody who bought the game should just download the new digitally remastered tracks illegally off the web and air guitar to them.
I CALL SHENANIGANS!!!

Yep. Time to buy another hard drive just for my Beatles tracks. It's going to be an awesome winter...
