Sony is handing out codes to enter into the MAG beta at PAX 2009 and Sony even held a massive fan gathering to celebrate the beta's launch, which Sterling McGarvey managed to attend. Sterling wasn't much a fan of SOCOM, but he's interested in seeing what happens with MAG, especially now that it's becoming a reality.
"As M.A.G. designer Ben Jones gave me a tour of the ongoing public beta, I couldn't help but to feel a sense of loss. Loss for the traditions of SOCOM, which, once M.A.G. drops early next year, is pretty much dead and buried. Instead, Zipper has thrown itself into an experience that's a little bit SOCOM, a little Modern Warfare, and undeniably influenced by MMO culture. It's an ambitious experiment, and I'm curious to see how Zipper pulls it off, even if SOCOM never fully resonated with me."

Morgan sucks x-play sucks and the 360 suck half of the reviews suck because they were done in SD broadcasting because the 360 only has SD 480p broadcasting abilities when did a regular DVD player ever play at 720p the box says HD but were is the HD disk reader at. if you wanted a SD console I would buy a wii if you want an HD console get a PS3 and the only people that say that the wii sucks are Xbots and they suck if you want a good review for a game look it up online at a customer review site. x-play is so over rated you would think that they could find some one better than t-square to show tips that everyone already knows. oh and what happed to God of War 3 is the greatest game ever the next week they were talking about how halo 3 was the greatest game ever with its half made animation scenes and I don t care if xbots hates me for this post they can all just play their sorry pathetic little xbox 360 games because they ant man enough to admit that the PS3 has better games and video quality

I love online multiplayer FPS games, but I don t know why they think having 256 players on the same map is a good idea. If they can do it without any issues, that s great, but having that many players on one map at one time, that sounds like a big headache. I guess only time will tell if they can pull it off without ruining the gaming experience.

This game looks decent for me it is not a must buy. There is so many games coming out this and next year and i already have a lot of shooters i will probably pass this game.

Oh and for the people wondering about the shots, don't worry for some of the clips, the person has infinite health (zipper probably hooked it up for demonstrations sake)

Yes Morgan is a flaming xbot. She always talks trash about the PS3 (watch her reaction to sony's last e3 conference, not the most recent one but the one before) I honestly have no respect for her and she always takes a shot at the PS3.
Oh and to the jagoff who does the poles gfy fanboy. When ever the polls are console related if it's soemthing like "Will you buy and xbox" there's always 2 positive and 1 negative answers but when it's (here's an example from a month or 2 ago) "Will you buy a ps3 because of Rain?" they have these choices; A.) yes B.)I'd rather buy a broom or C.) XBOX For life! and no, choice "C.)" is not a joke they actually put that up. So why does the ps3 always get the 2 negatives??? Don't know, don't care, I'm not the one missing out.

"Good job ps3 fanboys, you've earned it" (what's that supposed to mean?). Morgan is such a ps3 hater...Previews aren't supposed to critic upcoming games and whats up with the killzone's map-making problems? I don't see anything wrong with the multiplayer maps, it handles 32 players very well. Resistance 2 just proved 60 player games were possible and it did it very well, I've never seen this much doubt in a game preview.

I'm in the beta for this, and so far I'm not overly impressed. I can see the interest in it, but it's just as magmaface stated: Unloading a clip into someone's face is just bah.

thanks for the preview, now i know i'm not missing anything. i can't respect a game where you have to unload a full clip into the back of someone's head just to kill them, or where you have to reload to finish off somebody climbing a ladder.

Zipper really screwed up beta code distribution in the beginning. They gave it to random people who hardly play PS3 anymore and who could care less about MAG. Instead of giving beta codes to people registered on the official forums who are clearly interested in MAG, they gave them to a bunch of random people who don't know a thing about MAG.

I would go with valor as a PMC. Modern Military is always the way to go.
