Labor Day weekend is pretty nuts for the G4tv.com crew. Some of peeps are PAX, others are flying off to Japan, and a few of the crew are lucky enough to enjoy the holiday weekend. With everyone off enjoying tradeshows, airplanes, sun, and BBQ action, there are a variety of games in this week's picks. Check 'em out! When you're done, let everyone know what you're playing over the long weekend.

Guitar Hero 5

Brian Leahy: This weekend I'll be playing Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero 5 to get ready for The Beatles: Rock Band. As always, I'll find time for Halo 3 and Peggle. I'm mostly in a holding pattern until Halo 3: ODST, Dragon Age: Origins, DJ Hero, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Batman: Arkham Asylum delayed

Stephen Johnson: I’m not going to play video games this weekend. I’m going to try to take advantage of the last days of summer 2009 by going outside a lot, barbequing , bike riding, and maybe catching a summer movie I missed. If I do play any video games, it’ll be in the middle of the night (the best time for gaming) and the game will be Batman:Arkham Asylum.

Raymond Padilla: I'm heading off to Japan to check out a little game called Final Fantasy XIII. As you can imagine, I'm incredibly psyched to see more of the game and to get more details, but I'll miss my consoles. Grace Beck has me feeling ashamed of my Pokemon skills, so I'm going to bring my PSP and not my trusty DS. I'll be playing a bunch of Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny while I'm flying around the world.

Jake Gaskill: This weekend, I’ll be playing the under-the-radar title known as Anniversary Getaway with My Girlfriend. It’s kind of a two-player co-op sort of thing, with some suggestive themes and adult situations, but for the most part it’s a wholesome romp that’s good for 60-70 hours of solid entertainment. If there’s any down time, I’ll probably squeeze in a little Nap Hero (pillow peripheral!) and then maybe some Room Service 4: Waffles of the Patriots. Overall, it should be a pretty solid little weekend.

I'll be juggling time for Batman, Battlefield 1943, COD 4& WAW(double XP), and Fat Princess on my PS3. Lost Planet, Gears of War 2(double XP), Mass Effect, RE 5, and COD4 on my 360. Matter of fact I'll be playing my PS3 more.
Is it me doesn't Section 8 feeling and look like a generic Halo game, and I thought Halo sucked. Why they got to have 100 million games that play and look like Halo. Mircosoft, stop milking Halo and stop developers from making games like Halo on your console. diversity is the key

LOL! @ Dr. Gaskill. That was funny. I definitely need to pre-order "Nap Hero" to get the exclusive pillow peripheral. Good luck with your anniversary and here's hoping you don't say or do anything stupid like 90% of the guys I know with girlfriends. On an unrelated note; will you be watching or going to the UM vs. FSU game in Tallahassee, Dr. Gaskill? That is where I'll be on Monday.

Oh, and if anybody cares; I'll be playing God of War 2 (for the first time) this weekend before leaving to Tallahassee. After GoW 2, I play on finally getting around to Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

Just call me the "Late Gamer".

I played The Beatles Rock Band last night cause my friend works at GS. I think I was predictably disappointed because I don't really care for The Beatles, although I do respect them alot.

But damn I wish I was playing Waffles of the Patriots

i have gotten back into a call of duty 4 mood so ill probably that. and i just got left 4 dead on steam and ill probably be checking out the modded maps. Maybe a little halo 3 if time permits.

My weekend playlist hasn't changed in nearly a year. Halo 3 and Left 4 Dead, with sprinklings of NHL 09 and maybe some Mass Effect and a random game from the collection I'm in the mood for. Maybe an hour or two of DOAX2 to help get me through the lonely early morning hours.

I'll be playin' Saints Row 2, replaying Bully (greatest open-world game of all time in my opinion), Fallout 3 DLC on PC, The Darkness (my 10th playthrough; the game f---in rocks), and maybe a little Call of Juarez multiplayer action if the community's not dead yet.

The entire weekend I'll be cravin' Assassin's Creed II, Uncharted 2, Mafia II, Bioshock 2, Demon's Souls, Tekken 6, and of course, the most metal game of all time, Brutal Legend.
