Cheats and Walkthroughs
Welcome to "Morning Hangover" -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from two of TheFeed's editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world. So buckle up, break the three demandments of Hulkamania, and keep reading!
: It's starting again -- the dreaded holiday-season rush. September kicks off the ridiculous deluge of game releases publishers always unleash in the last four months of the year. Between Muramasa
, The Beatles: Rock Band
, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
, and Scribblenauts
, there are already too many games that will suck up my time this month (keep in mind that I'll be in Japan for two weeks checking out awesome stuff for you guys!). October and November are only going to make things worse.
As someone that's been writing about games since the '90s, I expect to be inundated with quality games this time of the year. My question today is how do you guys do it? How can you possibly play all the good to great games that are released for holiday rush? Don't you guys have work and/or school? In 2009, Capcom was able to generate great hype by releasing Resident Evil 5
and Street Fighter IV
early in the year. Would you want publishers to take advantage of the other eight months of the year? Would that make it easier to buy and play everything you want? (Wow, I have a lot of questions for you guys today!)
: I attended PAX
for the first time last year and had a frickin' blast. I can't wait to touch down in Seattle later today and see so many friends and readers, many of whom I'll be meeting in person for the first time. PAX is a show for gamers, a show for me to take a back seat and let you guys have control, while I watch. That's awesome. I'll be part of Wired Game|Life's
Chris Kohler's games journalism panel on Friday morning, so please come by if you have a question about games writing, how to get a job in game writing, or just want to see me babble for a bit. I'll also be part of our live Feedback on Saturday, where I'll be joining Sterling, Billy, Adam and Morgan to talk PAX and games for an hour with a real-life audience! It should be fantastic. Come say hi. :)
