On today's episode of X-Play, our intrepid roving Halo reporter Mr Sark traveled to Bungie to talk to Lars Bakken, the senior designer on Halo 3: ODST. What did these two great minds discuss? Plasma grenades? Female Master Chief? Cigar smoking sergeants who suspicious look a lot like Apone from Aliens?
No, not even close. They actually talked about the three new multiplayer maps Citadel, Heretic and Longshore, which make up the second part of the Mythic Map Pack and will be available with Halo 3: ODST.

This King You speak of....do you mean Halo ODST vs Uncharted 2?
If this is the case i will say this....If i have a choice to Purchase one of them...As of today I'm picking Uncharted because I like new IP's.
Also this King You are going to compare sales of a game that has 3 previous titles to a game that only has one....GOD please don't go to school and learn anything about business...take anything but because you sir are an idiot.
I will Most Likely give ODST a rent just to see if I actually care for the story...Also probably will check out Xplays reviews beforehand as well...

Sigh. Well the usual anti-xbox crowd blasting something good just because it's not PS3. I own both consoles now and am currently playing Killzone2 but i would put that down in a second to play new Halo (or bioshock 2 or COD or half-life).

I've heard that this brings all the great stuff from Halo 1 back. My old roommate lives in AZ now and got to play in the ODST tour thingy, he sent me a pic of the truck to make me jealous. Firefight looks awesome !

I haven't heard of an expansion that greatly improved graphics for the original game, unless it is a sequel or a re-imagining.

ODST FTW. Everyone who is a Halo fan myself included is hardcore dedicated to the franchise and although I already bought all the map packs it does not seem like a ripoff to me I have actually got alot of my friends playing Halo 3 now I converted them to the fold and I told them all to wait for ODST instead of buying the map packs because you're getting a hell of a good deal on all the dlc if you wait. This does not make me miffed in the least bit that they decided to go the way they did. Every game does goty editions now so it's no big deal think of odst as kinda like the goty edition of Halo 3 in a way that is what it is so who care.

It's funny to see the fanboys listing all the games for 2010 that they listed a year ago for 2009.
No matter, a vote will be held on Sep 22nd. The only votes that count will be the ones cast with $60.
The we'll all know who is elected "king of 2009" (single platform, I expect CODMW2 for multi)

I'm with Alphaq1888 on this one, $60 for what's essentially just an expansion pack is a bit much. I'll wait for them to come down a little on the price or rent it through Gamefly.
What they should offer is a scaled down version without the other map packs (like Epic did with Dark Corners versus All Fronts). That way people like me who've already bought the Heroic, Legendary and Mythic packs won't be buying them all over again.

bungie could not care less about anybody playing their games. campaign mode has been absolutely awful after halo: combat evolved (story and characters have almost zero depth). also, they go out of their way to empty our pockets on new/worthless content that you must have to play 5/6 of any playlist online (social or ranked). their money grubbing makes blizzard almost look tame. i love my 360 and i love the good parts of halo but its almost not worth it anymore. CoD:MW2 FTW!

Also I think I might wait on odst...it looks good but the problem is if I wanna go spend 60 dollars on something that wont take me very long to beat(I'm one of the people that like story/campaign modes).
Can't the new maps also be downloaded on Halo 3? I hope ODST is good but i might hold off on it till it gets a little cheaper.

An expansion will ship on 2 discs?! $60 for only 3 new maps?! The people that already bought the Halo 3 map packs now have to pay for them again?! I don't know which expansion is a bigger rip off for $60 between this and LFD2. I also don't know which one has the worse graphics.
