Music DLC Round-Up For Week Of August 17

Perhaps looking to steal some attention away from today’s release of Activision’s Guitar Hero 5, a source close to Rock Band developer Harmonix has leaked a list of upcoming tracks to Wired. Most of the list is simply a refresher on what tracks are available on GH5 versus RB, but it also includes listings for some tracks that will be available later this year.

According to the list, three Raconteur tracks are coming in October (“Steady As She Goes” and two unnamed songs), and three tracks from the White Stripes will be released in November (“Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground,” “Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine” and “Icky Thump”), with another couple songs coming from Attack! Attack! And The Duke Spirit via Harmonix’s self-authoring music service, Rock Band Network.

However, Queen fans are the big winners here, as 10 tracks are said to be released via DLC in October (“Under Pressure” is the only one named so far), while “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You” will be available via LEGO: Rock Band. That’s right. Similar to the original RB, players will be able to pay a small fee and save tracks from LEGO: Rock Band onto their hard drives and then play them in RB or RB2. No wonder Harmonix predicts it will have 1000 songs available by the end of the year.

What Queen songs do you want to see in Rock Band?
