As if you needed another reason to finally invest in a PlayStation 3 this holiday season, Sony has just announced that it will be releasing the God of War Collection, which include updated versions of both God of War and God of War II on one Blu-ray disc for just $40.
Both games have been remastered and will feature anti-aliased, 720p HD graphics, running at 60 frames per second. The game will also include PlayStation Network trophy support for all you completionists out there. I guess what I’m trying to say is the wait for God of War III will be significantly more manageable now.
Anyone planning to sell off their PS2 versions of these games and happily play through the games anew?

This is very interesting, I wonder if they are going to have 2 platinums considering it is 2 games or just one since it's packaged as 1 disc.

They should do that to the Metal Gear series, put all of them into one Blu- Ray disc. When I mean all of them i mean: the originals Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid (PS1 and the Gamecube version), Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2), Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS2), Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops (PSP). That would be awesome, but one can only dream.

i was hoping this would happen. God of War came out when I had moved on to the 360, wanted a shot at these games before the new one came out. This will be much better and cheaper than buying a ps2 and the old games.

this is a great idea!! pherhaps if this sells well they can do it for other games like kingdom hearts or devil may cry. im definatly selling old god of wars for new one.

HELL YO!! i was hoping they would make the patch to play ps2 games but they scratched that, but this is amazing, i basically only wanted to play GOW2 only and now its gonna be redone and with GOW1. Im having a geekgasm!
