TheFeed's Weekend Playlist: Arkham Asylum, Dissidia, Madden, And More

It's supposed to be the end of summer, yet it was over 100 degrees in Los Angeles today! This has prompted the G4tv.com crew to cool off with some excellent games. A bunch of the gang is going ga-ga over Batman: Arkham Asylum, while others are getting their Buster Sword groove on in Dissidia: Final Fantasy. What games are your favorite G4tv.com writers playing? Check TheFeed's Weekend Playlist and find out! When you're done, let everyone know what you're playing this weekend.

New Dissidia Final Fantasy Screens Shine

Raymond Padilla: Even though I've already reviewed Dissidia: Final Fantasy, I'm still playing the hell out of it. It's fun as a basic fighter and awesome for gamers that love RPG-style customization. I'm totally into leveling up my favorite characters, getting them new weapons, and discovering new accessories. It just completely works for me. This might come as a surprise to you, but I'm going to play some Madden NFL 10. The biggest reason I'm playing the game is so I can control the Minnesota Vikings and their awesome quarterback. The fact that Andrew and Billy are from Wisconsin and love the Green Bay Packers might have something (okay, practically everything) to do with it to. Favre 4 life!!!

‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ Impressions

Jake Gaskill: This weekend, I’ll finally get to jump cape-first into Batman: Arkham Asylum, and I can’t wait. And not just because of the whole “Greatest Superhero Game Ever” world record stuff either. Like most people, I’ve been looking forward to this game for some time now, and while the positive reception it has received is encouraging, I’ll hold off on proffering my verdict until the closing credits roll. Other than that, I just ranked up to 30 in Fallout 3 while finishing up Point Lookout (sheer brilliance by the way), but I have one side quest to see through so if I have time, I’ll jump in and wrap that up as well. But mostly, this weekend will be spent scouring the halls of Arkham Asylum in search of baddies to harshly whisper snappy lines to just before I bash in their heads with my elbow. It’s going to be glorious.

Rock Band 2

Stephen Johnson: I’ve been too busy to play Batman: Arkham Asylum since it came out, but it’s been sitting in front of my 360, mocking me, every day since it was released. Finally, this weekend, I’ll be playing it. So do not knock on my door during my sacred Batman time. Do not call me. Do not send me a text message. I will not respond to your smoke signals. Your telegram will go unread. Leave me and Batman alone in our Batcave to engage in our special superhero love.

The only interruption I will permit is from my son Dexter. Dex likes to play Rock Band 2, but he calls it “TV Drums.” The only song he wants to hear is “Psycho Killer.” I have heard Psycho Killer (or “Tyko Killa?” as he calls it) around 4,000 times in the last few days. That’s okay, though. It’s a good song.

Mario Box question mark???

Patrick Klepek: I can't even talk about the games I'll be spending time with this weekend! <Insert impressions>
