Well, it’s official. Eidos' Batman: Arkham Asylum is the greatest superhero game of all time!...At least, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
The Dark Knight’s latest virtual adventure has been recognized as the “Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever” as it has so far received a worldwide average rating of 91.67 (Metacritic has it rated at 91). Assuming that a flood of particularly nasty reviews don't come pouring in sometime soon, it's safe to say that this record/rating is secure for the time being.
I guess that’s what happens when you get people intimately familiar with the source material involved on the ground floor. Plus, it should be clear by now that if you’re going to make a game based off an existing IP (specifically a comic book or movie), make sure you’re telling an original story instead of trying to form fit a previous story onto it. Oh, and if you can, have it take place in labyrinthine facility housing scores of insatiably violent maniacs. That always helps.

This is a good thing as long as others follow suit and take some time with their comic book/superhero games. It is quite ridiculous how bad some of them have been.

excellent game. Rocksteady did a stand out job with it. Original story, great gameplay and the best voice cast possible seal the deal completely.

I found Batman to be more enjoyable - all over than wolverine's. I have not-so found memories of playing spidy games, and the wonderful Superman 64. *shudders*

The demo is awesome and everyone I know likes it and the retail game even more. Hopefully some mysterious influx of bad reviews doesn't mess this up.

Totally agree, I love the game.. Not the biggest Batman fan by any means, but the game is incredible.

I havent played the retail version at length yet, The demo was great and i played it briefly at a friends house. If i had the money I would buy it, Luck would have it so ill be able to borrow it soon. I cant wait, even with my brief time with it it shined brightly.

i played it and liked it, and i hate stealth games. So i guess it was pretty good.
