“Halo: Reach will be Bungie’s last Halo game,” is a statement that would seem obvious enough. And yet, there’s apparently a bit more wiggly room than previous thought, as evidence by recent comments made by Bungie community and PR director Brian Jarrard during GamesCom 2009.
Speaking with VideoGamer, Jarrard said, “The clarification is we just don’t know at this point…I think there's a lot of work just to get Reach done between now and next fall. At that point anything's possible. We're going to keep looking at making the games we want to make. Maybe that's Halo. Maybe it's not. We'll have to wait and see."
Wait and see, indeed. Fortunately, fans still have quite a bit of Halo to look forward too in the meantime. Halo 3: ODST hits shelves September 22nd, and Reach is expected to be released sometime next year.

This my game of the year. Its refreshing that a Halo Reach beta will be coming soon, its more confidence that Halo will spawn other battles within the Halo Universe.
I don't see why more Halo would be a bad thing when you have 13 Final Fantasy games. Also, if COD can be made every year, Halo can be made from a different perspective within the Universe every year.
More Halo, the better.

i do agree it would be awesome. but im sorry bro. even 60 people simply isnt possible on xbox live with peer to peer connection. it would be overidden with lag. it would be a good idea, just not possible.

But WAIT! OF COURSE they are coming out with ANOTHER halo game! seeing as how they just cant stop giving halo after halo after halo since microsoft wants to milk it for all its worth since thats one of the only exclusive franchises they have! why wouldnt they! no dont pay for new game expiriences! pay for the same old thing time after time! makes perfect sense! cant wait for that halo 15 game coming out in 2016! they say it will be the last halo game!

Hmmmm - Almost seems like the $ony fanatics really wish Halo would go away soonest... BTW: Just got a PS3 slim and Killzone 2 and my opinion is that the Halo franchise will far outlast KZ's.

Well Reach looks bad ass from what im hearing. It should be like MAG afterwards just focusing on Multiplayer games with about 200 on 200. Imagine reacting the Fall of Reach or the attack on New Mombosa? That would be epic.

Until Bungie gives a release date on something, you can't trust a word they say. Historically, they've flat lied about what they are or aren't working on. But I doubt they'll let go of a cash cow like Halo. Look what happened with Brute Force. Not much.
