Second Mass Effect DLC Pack Now Available On Xbox Live

Heads up, Mass Effect fans. The second ME DLC pack, "Pinnacle Station," is now available on Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft points. Here’s the full description, as if you need more motivation to quench your thirst for all things ME while you await the next bit of Mass Effect 2 news:

“Test the limits of your combat prowess aboard a remote, top-secret Alliance space station. Do you have what it takes to hold the top spot amongst the best of the best? This module includes a new land-able space station, 13 exciting combat scenarios, and approximately 2-3 hours of game play. Required: you must achieve Spectre status before embarking on this mission.”

If you haven't gotten around to playing Mass Effect, now would be a great time to finally do so, since it's available via download on Xbox Live for $19.99. Plus, it will give you a much more meaningful jumping off point once Mass Effect 2 is released next year, since you'll be able to carry over your character's data into the new game.

Anyone checked out the new DLC pack yet? Thoughts? How does it compare to the "Bring Down the Sky" DLC?

Wait was this supposed to hold us off till mass effect 2? Cause i bet the whole thing in an hour. I can see why it was only 400 points. It was just too short and too easy, even the supposedly "hard" final challenge. It was good and fun but way to short and easy. I would still recommend it as long as your not hoping it'll hold you off till ME2.

For a moment there I thought Bioware forgot they even made Mass Effect. I mean look at all the downloadable content that's out for the game. They promised so much downloadable content yet Fallout 3 is a year older than Mass Effect and Fallout 3 has 5 DLCs where as Mass Effect just finally got its second. And Bioware, where's the PC love?

the cool thing about surivial mode is that you can actually use it to get achivement
such as 150 sniper kill or 75 of various biotics ability on the horde without actually dying

I loved this game, but got rid of it months ago! When is it to late to put out dlc for a game? Seems like a ploy to boost the sales of mass effect on games on demand if you ask me. Very disappointing.

Already downloaded it, played it, and beat it. The story wasn't quite as interesting or engrossing as BDTS, but it was still fun. The challenges weren't terribly challenging, but the payoff for beating the final challenge helped make it well worth the download. If I were xplay, I'd give it a 4 out of 5. It's not groundbreaking, but it's still pretty good. The added goodies and the low price elevated it to a 4.

Love it! I downloaded it first thing this morning and played it all day. Lots of fun for a good price. Although the Hunt simulations are a bit difficult to master.

I love M.E. but I think this DLC is a little too late or maybe to close for comfort. To me M.E. 2 should be here soon and to me its to small of a download to get me back into the game to get pumped up for #2 I might wait a while to pick this one up. Just so that I can get my enjoyment out of it and not just play it cause I'm bored.

This very last mission is owning my life. Maybe it's cause I normally play on the 2nd hardest difficulty, and I'm not using a soldier? Content's been decent so far, though I'm a little upset there's 0 story or plot involvement. Bring Down the Sky was what I thought every side mission in ME should have been, and I loved it, but this content really follows along the lines of the whole firefight/survival/horde/zombi e modes, of Halo ODST/L4d/GoW/CoD 5. I mean it's fun and considering it's only like $5 I think it's worth it, but it's pretty much just combat and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a big ME fan like myself. Nothing to link 1 to 2, and no side missions with plot kind of like Bring Down the Sky. So I guess I was disappointed, but more of that has to do with my own expectations than the content itself. The last mission is kind of interesting a bit, and I could see them expanding off this a bit further with the simulating previous battle idea. Could be cool. Anyway, I'm going to lower the difficulty to veteran and see how I fare.

Thanks every one for your helpful insight into whether or not I should buy this DLC. And now I'm another jerk that just made a comment that doesn't have anything to think about this DLC. I'll just go somewhere helpful.
