Chair Entertainment's Shadow Complex is out now for the 360. The side-scroller was developed by Cliff Bleszinski for download on the 360, and so far it's been receiving raves from gamers around our office for its updating of an old-school game genre . (Check out the review here.) As cool as the game is, it was never designed to be an epic game -- In spite of its many secrets and upgrades, Shadow Complex provides maybe 10 hours of play... but there might be DLC coming.
Gamasutra caught up with Chair Entertainment creative director Donald Mustard, and asked him about the possibility of extending the game by offering players the chance to play as the antagonist in the same levels, kind of like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night did by allowing you to play as Richter Belmont after finishing the game as Alucard.
When asked, Mustard replied, "Man, you're going to make me tip my hand too much," and added: "I think that's a really compelling idea -- how about that?"
This is far from a confirmation, but deep in my heart, I believe this is the plan.

I'm liking this game a great deal. Though I stoppped playing today in order to play Fable II (finally figured why I couldn't play it before). I'll pick up playing on Sunday when I'm off work.

I bought it yesterday and finished it today. it took me 5 hours and i found like 65% to 70% of the items. If you play straight through it it should take you 4 hours. Its very fun and I highly reccomend it.

I am absolutely loving Shadow Complex. I think that XBLA got some great new games for old school gaming fans. Shadow Complex, 'Splosion Man, Bionic Commando are all very, very good. I hope to see more downloadable titles like this coming out.

I am about 6 hrs into it and I am loving every minute of it. This game has delivered much more than I was expecting.

I am on the fence about this game. I got the demo, but i'm not wild about the aiming mechanic. Aiming "into" the screen seems frustrating. Is there some kind of aim assist?

Shadow Complex is the first game on my download list as soon as I can get my internet access working again.

i love this game. i'd love to see a metroid one though. wii ware version so i can use the classic controller.
