Professor Layton and The Diabolical Box

If you’ve played Level-5’s puzzle-based mystery game Professor Layton & the Curious Village, then you pretty much know what to expect from the latest installment, Professor Layton & the Diabolical Box. However, that is far from a bad thing. In fact, there are quite a few new additions, and a few updated features, that help make this game one of the year’s best.

You can check out my full review to see what makes the game a must have, but here’s a little taste to get the mystery train a-rollin’:

“In their latest adventure, our titular professor and his trusty apprentice Luke embark on yet another whimsical and brain-twisting journey to uncover the truth behind a mysterious artifact that is rumored to kill anyone who opens it. When one of Layton’s colleagues ends up dead after locating and opening said box, an investigation ensues into the nefarious item’s whereabouts, the truth contained within it, and its unsuspecting ties to a powerful and influential family.”
